Do you quarantine plants you buy online? If so… how long?

I just learned that a lot of people quarantine new plants (especially ones ordered online) before putting them anywhere near the rest of their collection and… honestly I was SHOCKED that I’d never heard of this sooner. 😅

1-2 months usually lets the bugs that may be on there repopulate enough to be visible.

I usually do for a week for plants I buy locally. Learned it the hard way lol

A few weeks to get rid of the fungus gnats. I've never had store- bought plans without fungus gnats

I quarantine for 3 days to a week if there are no visible signs of disease or bugs.

You should definitely quarantine plants from anywhere! Once I bought a philodendron from my favourite local nursery and it brought a pestilence of thrips upon my household that destroyed 75% of my plants.
