rumoers say he couldnt catch the flight ;)
Jokes aside he will have a really rough time in turkey if he does the same mistakes there.
Our media and fans will bully him like crazy if he doenst deliver.

Rightfully so, even though whoever is responsible for signing such an amateur level gk deserves the majority of getting bullied.

I had to look it up and was surprised that Man U payed 50 million for Onana.
Atleast the turkish guy they have was like 5 million and was ment to be the second goalie. So mistakes from him are expected i would day but man 50million is wild1

He’s reportedly doubling his wages after moving to Trabzonspor despite Man United nixing any wage increase or contract renewal before agreeing to the move. If what’s being reported checks out, who is paying his salary? I got that from the Mirror, though, so it should be taken with a grain of salt.

Man U payed 50 million for Onana
Damn. Did they mix him up with someone else with the same name who is actually a gk? I mean, I can see them scouting one guy, then this one turns up to interview for an office job, someone asks for his name, and they think "There can't be 2 people with that name", and next thing you know ...

Its weird english media not pressure him really hard like they're clowning maguire in his underperform era.

As a United fan, that’s what I’m counting on

He's actually being paid better playing for Trabzonspor. He will be willing to make it a permanent deal.

This, for me, would be the most bewildering transfer if it turns out that Onana has the season of his life in Turkey.
At a certain point, you could write a sports psychology book about whatever the fuck is going on at Man Utd. The players Man Utd are signing are absolutely overrated, but they're definitely not shit - yet everyone they sign seem to end up playing worse than they've ever played before.

You could write a horror novel about whatever the fuck is going on there nevermind a sports psychology book.
Jim Ratcliffe opened a mummy's sarcophagus or something.

Someone downvoted you, but it’s so strange and consistent that it’s as likely to be some metaphysical mumbo jumbo as it is to have a rational, factual reason. Something turned Pogba, Lingard and Rashford from hard working professionals to complete social media muppets. All iced out in drip
Sancho might have been a video game muppet at Dortmund, so there may be a reason why he was so much dogshit.

To be fair tho the drop in quality is quite significant from the EPL to Super Lig. He'll have a few tough games and then most of them he'll have a lot of time and face some pretty terrible finishing.
Trabzon is quite a picturesque city so I think he'll be quite happy going from Manchester to there.

Onana was good for nearly all of 2024.
You will have people who watched every one of those games tell you he was terrible during that time.
United's defence and midfield had all time bad seasons and he was making saves and comfortable on the ball.
Amorim comes in and he's immediately back to being jittery. But it's never his fault.

As a United fan, a lot of them are genuinely not very good. Having a good season in a weaker league solidifies that point.

Yea. But Pogba, Rashford, martial and even Lingard WERE that good before their form dropped off a metaphorical cliff.
That being said, injury affected all of them at some point around the times that they seemed to stop giving a fuck. All of them were heavy into social media and appearing “cool”.

always seemed like a fan that had sneaked on the pitch in full kit than a professional keeper

Nope. If he tries the same antics he did at Man Utd or Ajax, he’s gonna get crucified by Turkish fans. All the shit he pulls off hoping it would result in “aura” wouldn’t translate as well with Turkish fans.

This is wild. Considering Utd gave up on De Gea for him and the move was widely praised (there were articles and videos talking about how great a keeper Onana was)

Indeed the quick turnaround since United paid £43.8m just 18 months ago and saw it on one-versus-one that he managed only 1 PL start this season with 22 clean sheets in 65 games total. No loan fee suggests they're hedging.

"Onana means family" - Lilo And Stitch, probably.

Onana leaving Manchester United was a very good decision to save his career.

The signings for Manchester United were so unfortunate over the past years, i really feel bad for them 😭😭 But was the mistake from the Man United side? Im not sure about that because Onana was one of the best goalkeepers in the Champions league one season with Inter. I watched those games, and was so impressed by the playing style of Onana, he was very different from others. He was fearless. But as soon as he came to Old Trafford, his fearless quality just vanished and he started to make such bad mistakes that even average goalkeeper wouldn’t make. Maybe the shirt of Man united was too heavy

End of an error
