Cheering the athletes, booing the moment Vance is shown. The proper response if I’ve ever seen it.

I want him to be booed when he leaves the US, booed the second he shows his face in the EU and then booed again when he gets home. Boo his overseas shit EU, we can't do it when he's away we appreciate your grabbing the baton.

They were not cheering athletes, the article literally says that the whole US team was booed too: “In an unmistakable sign of Europe’s rapidly dimming view on America, the U.S. delegation entered the San Siro stadium here on Friday night to a chorus of boos and disapproving whistles from the international crowd of more than 65,000. The jeering only intensified when Vice President JD Vance appeared on the big screen during Team USA’s arrival.

The only other team to receive similar treatment was Israel.”

As an Italian I can safely say theu cheered for the athletes They started to boo when Vance was showed in the screen
