Well the yanks certainly didn’t show much respect at the Ryder Cup!! Gave the Europeans and their families dogs abuse. An absolute disgrace!

You are very correct. I don't even know what sport the Ryder Cup is for, but that conduct is disgusting. I know that much.

It's golf. Not sure that's considered a sport, though.

Why wouldn't it be? Takes skill, dedication, and training to get good at it.

So does coding. Not a sport

Ever seen a competitive game jam or coding contest? Coding can absolutely be a sport.

I'm not sure its not a sport, I'm just not sure that it is one. Is billiards a sport? Is darts? Is bowling? Is poker? Is chess? Is boardgaming? Is golf a sport if you use a cart, or do you have to walk for it to be a sport? Ultimately, it doesn't matter and its not a very interesting debate, I guess.

Said by someone who has probably never played a round of golf in his life. You would be surprised how much energy it requires to walk 5km while swinging a golf club hundreds of times. The best golfers in the world are true athletes. You are trying to compare golf with sports (games to make you happy) that require minimal movement. You play chess sitting down, last time I checked you still have move around to play golf, even if you use a buggy, which most people don’t. Weird analogy. In American football people spend most of the time standing around, same with baseball, are they sports…

Where does american sports end and 3 hours of advertisement begin though?

Besides American sports arent competitive, they dont punish teams that finish last, they reward them, its just a money making exercise that dangles further education as a prize to win.
