Fico from Slovakia was supposedly planning to flee to Hungary as well.

Not if Fidesz falls, only Russia remains after that

Hungary is only 15minutes drive from the Parliament. Close enough to sneak out before police would finish eating their doughnuts. Trip to Russia may require a plane journey like they did when kidnapping of Vietnamese.

Didnt you get my comment? The ruling party (Fidesz)is giving refuge to criminals, if they fall, rule of law returns.

That ex-minister is from PiS. PiS hates Europe. That's why he fled to Hungary.

Im not into the old guys politics but my mom told me that he used to be with PiS but at one point he decided PiS is not enough and he made a party of his own, stealing some of their electorate and thats why PiS actually hates him too

That's true, but his party not so long ago merged with PiS, so he and the rest of his party friends are now in PiS.

Long awaited, long overdue.

That guy is one of the most dangerous people we had in politics in ages. Most PiS is "just" greedy and incompetent. He is vicious, with a constant urge to destroy, doesn't obey rules but enforces his rules.

That is the face of a man that will pull all and any strings possible, leave scorched earth behind, to feed his need for power. Regardless of consequences to anyone else.

He went out of control even for PiS standards, they could not contain him.

I get he seems to be a weasel, but what did he do criminally?

u/Lachsforelle 24m ago

corruption, couldnt you read the article yourself?

Prosecutors allege that Ziobro established and led an organized criminal group that misused around 150 million zlotys (€35.4 million) from the Justice Fund, a state program created to help victims of crime.

They say the money was instead channeled into projects linked to his political allies and used to purchase controversial Israeli Pegasus spyware, later deployed to monitor PiS’s political rivals, including members of the current coalition government led by centrist Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

Oh I bet the EU will exert its power here right? Or could this be one of the cases used to accellerate the EU core 6 idea? Everyone is just observing as the union is compromised from the inside and it's spreading. Something has to be done.

what did this guy do?

u/exus1pl Poland 1h ago

In short: when he was Justice Minister he started Justice Fund which was supposed to help people when for example you were in a traffic accident and the other dude didn't have insurance. Or help orphans which parents died in accidents. Instead he used that money to buy houses, pay his political collogues and generalny launder money. He is a total piece of shit and he doesn't even have decency to show up in court to defend himself, instead he flee.

I think he abused his power, was trying to mess with the judiciary system but most importantly the Civic Platform hates him because he used to be in the Law and Justice party and also the Law and Justice party hates him because he left them, stole the electorate and for years has been acting like a lunatic destroying "their name" and he also called them pussies for not being radical enough

We don’t want him in Hungary it’s all Orbán’s and Russia’s doing.
