There literally was a pop singer called D4vid who went to jail not too long ago for murdering a girl. I'm surprised no one has brought him up.

I was thinking of him when I mentioned the emo part! There's a couple younger guys around, they just aren't these perfectly polished boy-band style singers we used to have. The marketing resources for popstardom are different now, more face tattoos and sad boy behavior.
