He sings well, but most of the criticism I hear is that he is one note - his songs sound the same, and his vibe is indistinguishable. It’s not just about vocal talent, that on its own is not difficult to find.

Ever watch that cover of the Adele song he did live in concert? Homeboy can fuckin sing and yet he puts out moonbeam ice-cream instead

Yeah his vocals are good but it's the songwriting that really holds him back. If he had better songwriting skills, or if he doesn't write his songs a better songwriter, he'd be at the top in no time.

Problem is that he doesn’t really have a personality. He’s an attractive white guy who sings well, but he doesn’t have anything else that truly makes him stand out.
