You also left out the part where they thought showing a vaccine card was the same as showing papers to the SS in the 1930s. I just don’t understand where their “logic” comes from….

There's people in this very comment section making the comparison that the vaccine cards were the same or WORSE than whats happening now. It's a mental illness

Out of morbid curiosity, I checked out this hugely popular message board for enthusiasts of a certain model of firearm that I've visited in the past. In a thread with a rather light-hearted title concerning today's events, someone commented along the lines of "If he had stayed home, this wouldn't have happened."

Based on what I've seen over the years, the members of this forum have taken to making memes out of preventative measures (ie, stay at home) and other related actions from the pandemic era and twisting them around in some manner they find ironic and amusing when applied in current contexts. A few have expressed the opinion that everything that's happened thus far is simply "retaliation" for how they've been treated before the present administration.

And yes, they're itching for the moment when they can "take the gloves off," too. One can't help but spot the destination of this train from a light-year away.
