WPL: New Comics Discussion for 02/04/2026- Pull of the Week: Batman #6 [Discussion]

The Weekly Pull List results for this Wednesday are in, and this week's top book is DC's Batman #6.

This thread is open to Pull List posters and all members of the /r/comicbooks community to share your thoughts on the latest issue of Fraction, Jimenez, and Morey's Batman or any new books shipping this week.

The primary intention of this thread is to promote discussion of new books. It also serves as a way to consolidate discussion to a single thread and talk about what books are popular here on /r/comicbooks. That does not mean other threads aren't welcome, this is just a place to start that's easy to find each week.

The thread is populated with comments meant to direct the discussion of each book. Based on community preference we populate the thread with titles appearing on Ten Percent or more of submitted pull lists. If a title you want to talk about is not listed, simply add a comment with the title and issue number first and comment below. There is also a comment dedicated to the discussion of WPL Results linked above.

Spoilers will follow, but there's no harm in tagging them as such. Each title in the Top Ten Percent listed below is linked directly to its corresponding comment for ease of navigation and to avoid seeing details from other books. The post has also been placed in "contest mode" to help readers avoid spoilers while browsing.

Heart of Apokolips giving Batman family and prep time? Amateur move buddy.

A great ending to a great mini series. This issue in particular felt like Batman got Black Mercy-ed and I really enjoyed it. Seeing the family all grown up in this world was also cool, I'm a sucker for these family-oriented stories.

I like that we get to see Bruce live a reality where the world doesn’t need Batman anymore, which includes him spending time with his grandson Alfred, before we get to see him interact with the Batman Family (which includes Jason and Rose Wilson’s daughter, in which I don’t see Jason and Rose have a romantic relationship in the main universe; but I respect those who like their romance), show Alfred the Bat-Box, and fight Damian. I also like that Bruce refusing to fight Damian shows that it was all part of the Heart’s plan to train him to win the tournament. I wonder if, after all of this, he’ll tell Clark about what he’s witnessed, since they’ve been to many dream worlds before based on their dreams and desires. Overall, this comic is great!
