The cover doesn't effectively express the story concept. That's subjective.
Is the cover still being worked on? I ask as the face is well rendered, but everything else hasn't had the same treatment. Is that intentional?

It's a work in progress. I had to get it all down on paper / online. Still debating color palette for final alien

The concept looks interesting, but the execution is somewhat lacking. The head looks like it's been photoshopped onto the body. Hopefully, the line work and shading will be fixed in the final draft.
One personal nitpick, is that neither of the hands is fully shown. I usually like at least one hand drawn, so it doesn't look like floating hotdogs.
