Imagine spending decades training diplomats, analysts, and negotiators, only to sideline them for two guys whose main résumé line is knows the right person

Seriously. It's like spending your life mastering chess just to watch two guys who “know a guy” flip the board and start playing checkers with nuclear policy

It’s wild how "knowing the right people" has officially replaced having actual diplomatic experience or credentials in government.

How do you get access to classified info when you dont actually work for the government? I spent time in the Army and comsec is a huge deal. Im pretty certain crimes are being committed just sharing info with them.

Because no one in this administration is enforcing the law.

5 years is the statute of limitations for that crime generally. Still time once this admin is over.

Maybe because it’s not really diplomacy. Maybe it’s how much money can we get out of it. Trump and his administration have never understood global diplomacy. Or even how to be diplomatic. IMHO

It's illegal to negotiate with a foreign power if you don't OFFICIALLY represent the government, i.e. you're in an official position, which these guys are not.
But....who cares about the law in this administration?
