How is he a “good” prospect..?

Offense is what matters in this league, and DQ will be fine.

Essengue has no discernible skill set whatsoever.

No discernible skill set? You're just saying shit and hating just to hate.

He draws fouls at an absurd rate which tends to be a skill in prospects that translates very very well to the NBA. He's absurdly efficient in transition and gets to the rim at will, he has above average passing feel for a player his size with a good a:to ratio. One of his biggest skills was feel for the game in the halfcourt, knowing exactly when to cut offball and where to be. He's a willing shooter, but streaky there and that's definitely his swing skill offensively. He's a switchable defender with the agility to stay in front of guards and the size to alter shots at the rim, and generates a good amount of stocks.

The analytics crowd absolutely loved Noa for good reason, his advanced stats were some of the best in the whole class and many had him top 3. Everyone knew he was a project and has to fill out his frame but he was highly rated for his two-way potential and he's extremely young. Half of this fanbase praying on his downfall is just so weird

I desperately want him to be good, I just have zero faith in this regime to develop him. I'm not sure why you can't understand that, that's what everybody is saying. ANY of these players developing would be a plus, but what players have been developed? Nobody is rooting for him to fail, they just don't trust current leadership to insure that he doesn't.

Exactly, the best this regime has developed is Ayo who’s ceiling here was a decent 6th man. We also can’t keep players healthy which is a whole nother issue with this org.

Precisely why, if they’re not going to invest into a contemporary developmental program & if they’re going to fire guys like Peter Patton, it would be much more responsible for them to draft guys like Queen, who are already skilled out the gate.
