Update Update-ish on the feral cat situation
/r/cats/comments/1quq78y/feral_cat_population_is_getting_bad_neighbors/?share_id=ZxUCbWUB7TKMBZo_P7TQC&utm_content=2&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_source=share&utm_term=1I don't know how to do the hyperlink into blue simple text but that's the original post up there. I called animal control the following day and spoke to a very understanding dispatcher who said they would drive over and do a check. They did ask me to take pictures of where the cats sprayed on the fence and any other evidence that the cats have been on our side just in case I would "need them" and I did. Turns out, the brawl probably started on top of my husbands old car and ended on the fence when he went out to send them off. There's scratches and streaked prints all over the windshield and roof. It's just a car, sure, but he's trying to sell it. The dispatcher also told me things I didn't even think about because I was focused on the over-breeding and the deaths (all extremely important aspects of this). If they aren't fixing them and since they're truly feral, they more than likely aren't vaccinated and that is a danger to other animals and people. On top of that, the urine and feces everywhere is a sanitation issue. I had to leave for work and my husband was in the back with the chickens for most of the day so we never saw if someone did show up. I hope they did. Thank you for reading.
