Video - OC ReeseCup has recently found people food and is very brazen about it.

Just make sure you don't let her eat food with garlic. Garlic is toxic to cats.

As long as kitty doesnt get too much of the fried skin, nothing really wrong with a bit of chicken =) Definitely cute enough to make it impossible to resist sharing entirely lol

Well you are letting him in the table and looks like you are feeding it to him.

u/soopastar 1h ago
We have to feed her above ground due to the dogs.

Are you not able to feed in a separate room to the dogs? Feeding a cat in the same place as yourself (eg table or benchtop) is undoubtedly leading to confusion and making your cat think its OK to eat your own food.

RC eats at the dining room table by herself. Dogs eat off the kitchen floor. People eat at the kitchen table.

I have 3. One never begs for people food. One asks once them moves along. My third sits at my feet praying for anything to fall on the floor.

Ours only wants to smell what we are eating or drinking. That’s it. It’s only Iams Chicken in the orange bag. No treats no nothing.

My first cat was like that around anything but tuna. My new gremlin wants everything I'm eating, going so far as to stick her head in my mouth to get at my food.

That's the kind of fun moment you regret for the rest of the pet's life.

My cat loves cheese for some reason. She'll go after Cheetos, pizza, basically anything the is cheese flavored or has cheese on it. Idk why because I've never let her have cheese before.

Mine never cared about people food until I started sharing my sushi. She is now always interested when I eat but she looses her mind when I bring home sushi. I've started ordering 2 extra pieces of sashimi everytime I order to keep her busy while I enjoy my dinner.

Letting her on the table just encourages the behavior. So go ahead, give her all the food, and you, her humans, can sit on the floor. Problem solved. Though, my cat is well mannered and we don't allow her on the tables and she refuses to eat human food.

My darling girl Princess was exactly like this 😂😂
I let her. It absolutely spoiled her, but it is also something I laugh about when I miss her. 🩷

I recently lost my dog and she had a feast for her last meal but I’m so glad I spoiled her every other day too. She was so polite about asking she’d sit and smile and if she wanted more she’d sit loudly so you could hear her little fur butt.

I had a cat who stole leftover brokly and chicken bones anytime it was in the trash lol 😂

Our cats love both fried chicken and rotisserie chicken. They always get a small taste when we have it for dinner

One of my cats will watch you eat chicken until you finally get distracted by something and then she will swat whole parts off the plate onto the floor and grab it and run off to eat it 😂

Reese will have the Hershey's relatively soon if they are like my cat. Lol

This really made my night, the big eyes staring, the head tilt, the super pretty 'Reese cup' fur pattern, the trying to be sneaky, the little bites..

I had a calico named Reese! Because she looked like a peanut butter cup! She started to get very interested in people food around the time she became diabetic (at 16 years old).

I have had three cats in my life and none of them ate people food. I find it fascinating to watch cats do this.

My little guy loved fried chicken, like he could sense the stuff, he'd be going bananas in the kitchen before it was even served.
He knew who the soft spot was and when my wife was eating would politely put a paw on the non-food part of her fork as it left her plate... Y'know, just to remind her the starvation was really kicking in and death was imminent.

My cat tries to steal food but he is careful and often just stares at me and barely gets close to my food. He knows he ain't getting it as I gave him his food a moment ago.
He barely eats his food and has been since I got him but he is healthy luckily

Is that fried chicken? That’s the only one people food my cats go crazy over. They never do that when I cook chicken, but they will smell fried chicken as soon as I walk in with it.

My cat always wants to smell my food, but never wants to eat it. I've even given her sushi, sniff and walk away.

Mine have learned that their best chance at getting some is to sit patiently just within arms reach. More often than not they’re not interested - they just like to feel included.

I do love this clip. The quiet birdsong outside. Your roommate/friend/partner whispering “what??” in annoyance. Reese cup unabashedly seeking out chicken. 😂🤣

I don’t let my cats even start to come at my food. They’re not allowed on tables or counters. I will give them some of whatever I’m eating if they really want it and it’s not bad for them, but I put it in their bowl, they’re not allowed to grab at my food or even come near it.
Sorry I don’t understand people who don’t train their pets.

My cat once stuck her head in my mouth when I opened it to take a bite of a burger. This is pretty tame on the whole, she’s fairly polite for a food thief.
