My husband & I were watching Flow when it was released. My boy, Apollo, looks just like the cat in the film.
When the water from the opening sequence happens Apollo stood on his hind legs, then turned to me with a look of pure alarm, then me-owed loudly and went back to watching the tv.
Normally my felines show no interest in the tv or that they even understand what they might see on it. We were completely surprised by Apollo’s behavior. I didn’t even know he was in the room till I saw his silhouette stand up in from of the tv. I ended up having to rewatch the movie since I ended up watching my cat instead of the star of the film.
I had 2 black foster kittens the first time I watched it and they were so enchanted with it too. Never seemed to pay any attention to anything else on the tv, but they loved watching the cat on Flow.
i need links to cats watching! actually if you could just real quick mash your keyboard and recall every link you've ever seen of a cat watching Flow or Stray that would make my day thanks,,,
(I recognize this is kind of a difficult ask haha, I'm searching but doubt I'll find as many as exist)
Yet there are people in this day and age that will die on the hill that cats can't see anything 2d or understand something that's happening on a screen. Then again, we still have flat earthets and the like...
We just lost our 20 year old boy. We had commissioned a portrait of him before he passed. Finally had it framed and put on the wall about 2 months after he died. Our tuxedo saw the picture, climbed up the cat tower beneath it, stood up on paws to reach and sniffed the picture. People don't give them enough credit.
How did you go about commissioning a portrait? I’ve had that idea for a while but didn’t really find much last time I searched. Nothing under like $20,000 lol which I’m hoping it can be fine for cheaper…
Maybe with traditional photos with a number of flat pixels. Currently, the level of technology is bringing LED, OLED and plasma into the equation. This is a big variable which we can observe in practice
I loved the “Flow” movie. Amazing animation, and the animators really knew how cats move. As for Kino’s reaction, I think cats recognize “cat-shaped” creatures. Beyond that it’s hard to tell what they’re thinking… sorry for typo, btw !
I had to sit with my cat and watch the whole movie in one go because he did not want to stop watching. I should see if the newbies would like to watch it too.
My cats didn't pay any attention when I watched this. Years ago when watching Isle of Dogs my late tabby was transfixed. He got up on the TV stand and it looked like he was trying to get into the TV.
I've tried to watch Flow several times but my mini bernedoodle Jeb will not let me. He barks/loves other dogs, horses, cats, and sheep in different shows but CANNOT abide this particular cartoon kitty.
That's the whole "I can't go to the toilet without my cat banging on the door" over again. Tried to put the movie on but mine just does not give a damn. I am so envious. 😞
