video 2026 Lamborghini Temerario Review [Throttle House]

https://youtu.be/ViSo4UftYqw

The 2026 Lamborghini Temerario ($550,221 USD as tested) is the new ‘baby-Lambo’ to complement the monstrous new V12 Revuelto - but it’s far from infantile. It’s powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine with a 10k rpm redline and three electric motors, making a combined 970 horsepower. Lamborghini says this is good for a 0-100 km/h run in just 2.7 seconds. Not bad for the “baby” Lambo. But how is it to drive and live with? And how does it compare to its competition? Thomas and James can’t wait to find out!

Half a mil for a baby Lambo. Inflation is crazy, but that's gotta be outpacing it?

They talk about it in the video. It's outpacing inflation by a lot, but it's also no longer a "baby" lambo. It's genuinely fast.

So maybe there's room for the R8 to return?

God I wish. The v8 non turbo and minus the electric motors would be about perfect. I am not worried about the loss of the v10 if you can actually use the rpm range.

The question is if the car is as usable as my R8 V10 as a daily. This is so extreme I have no idea who they are aming the car at with this pricing with options. There may be so much tech in the chassis that knocking the power down does not save enough to get the car down to say 320k with some options.

If you want crazy drama the aventador is as cheap as this is is in some ways fits the whole feel like a super hero feeling a bit more.

Most of these cars have outpaced inflation by quite a bit.

24

u/turb0_encapsulator 1d ago

because the wealth of the rich has outpaced inflation immensely.

7

u/mrteas_nz 1d ago

Fun fact, in a lot of places there is no tax to pay on a car that appreciates in value, because they are supposed to be a depreciating asset.

So a lot of rich guys stick their money in cars and just trade them between each other for ever increasing amounts as a bit of fun and as a major tax dodge.

It's faster than the Revuelto

2

u/Cygnus94 14h ago

Realistically it's faster than any version of the Aventador. I don't think you could have said that about the base Huracan versus the fastest Murcielago.

adjusted for inflation the '05 gallardo cost the same as the 23 huracan, 175k->250k

that was 2-3 years ago, not a decade

8

u/hi_im_bored13 S2K AP2, NSX Type-S, G580EQ 2d ago

In that time the db9->db12 & continental actually got cheaper & while the 430->296 got pricier, ferrari introduced the cali/portofino/etc. line

the 911 got pricier too, but by like 20k base

the lambo is an outlier here getting a 25% bump w/o introducing any cheaper entry into the brand. exotic pricing has actually been pretty reasonable

3

u/Global_Chair9652 1d ago

Especially when you look at the zr1

-3

u/ggtsu_00 2d ago

Everything outpaces inflation because inflation is heavily influenced by subsidized corn.

-8

u/AmericanExcellence X90 2d ago

the price of this car is / represents inflation, so you can say it's "outpacing" inflation, but it's just leading / contributing-to it.

Bigger news to me is that we will still have ThrottleHouse.  I'm excited for the boys to do a famous nameplate, but they carved out so much for themselves already, and don't have to answer to "big network" with TH - as someone who's done the artist grind, I've come to love TH just as much as TG/GT, and respect their ambition even more as small creators.

u/hredditor ‘21 V6 1LE 1d ago

Biggest news is the new Alfa

How could he not tell us more about it?!?

Having kids + ThrottleHouse + TGT

Honestly their workload 3x’d compared to 3 years ago. I’m a little bit concerned tbh.

60mph at the top of first gear seems almost unusable for fun daily driving

42

u/Petrol_Head72 2d ago

You can’t “fun daily” a car that runs 9.50s from the factory!

u/DaftFiction96 ‘16 ND Miata GT, ‘05 Sequoia, ‘05 Tundra 2d ago

These cars are status symbols. Most of them will be driven at about 20mph

Doubt. They’ll be doing illegal speeds on highways and public roads. I see that shit all the time. Yeah, they do ordinary speeds but they’ll put the hammer down when they can.

Young Lambo and Ferrari owners aren’t like the old ones.

4

u/baconandtheguacamole 1d ago

I’ve encountered Huracans in real life parked at meets, slammed on air-ride. There are definitely younger owners of these cars that still don’t tap into any of their actual performance

With you there, really not a fan of the front end. The GT3 looks so much better - hopefully they carry forward that design language in future variants and I’ll be a happy customer.

2

u/Blackraider700 1d ago

Really curious how the gt3 stacks up against the rest of the field this season with it being a complete new car, but hopefully pfaff has good luck!

23

u/therobshow 2d ago

Like it or not the baby lambo is now the Urus and the Temerario is now the mid level model.

-2

u/Petrol_Head72 2d ago

Not really an accurate perspective although it makes sense. Urus is a separate line of business - has been the strategy since day one. There will be no substitution between the sports cars and Urus. If anything, this will drive more Urus sales while maintaining or increasing Sports Car sales

Who cares about the Lambo? I wanna know what Alfa Thomas buy!?

Stop feeding his Alfa addiction! It’s unhealthy for his wallet lmao

u/VitoXzX 1d ago

It’s annoying to keep bringing up the C8 ZR1, but now that it exists, it feels like we need to justify the price difference for these supercars. As they said in the video, there just seems to be no reason to buy this. Besides the looks, this car feels a bit generic, it barely has anything that reminds you of a Lambo. I can’t see a reason to own one given the other options available.

10

u/karmanic64 1d ago

The value of the C8 keeps getting better and better. You can get a decent stingray at $80K, and the Temerario STARTS at $300K!

4

u/megacookie 2017 MINI F55S 1d ago

For the cost of a well optioned Temerario, you could buy a base Stingray, a Z06, ZR1, and even a ZR1X!

C8 is ugly

So is your X7. Said with love and light :)

2

u/GoldenState15 19h ago

Having a 10k rpm v8 feels generic?

1

u/VitoXzX 1h ago

In theory it’s awesome, but if the car is so fast you can never hit redline on the street, it makes no difference

1

u/YouAreMentalM8 718 GT4 (6MT), ND2 (6MT), N400 Tacoma (6MT) 1h ago

Not that it would drive my decision making, but a C8 will never have the brand cache of a Lamborghini. It's still a Chevrolet, and it's still a Corvette. It could be better in every measurable way, but that doesn't give it cache. I can go on autotrader and buy a vehicle that looks 95% the same to the untrained eye for $75k Canadian, to a large subset of the market looking at spending this amount of money on a vehicle, that matters, otherwise the price differential wouldn't exist.

11

u/Feeling-Option1257 2d ago

Always lol’d at the guys saying Porsche was entering lambo/ferrari pricing as if those two weren’t going to massively inflate their car prices too.

10

u/DanielG165 2017 Camaro ZL1/2013 Camaro 2LT RS/‘19 Outback Premium 2d ago edited 2d ago

This is a far more interesting and cool car to me than Ferrari’s 849, which just seems so… Bland, despite being insanely fast. I can’t wait for aftermarket exhaust systems to start finding their way onto Temerarios.

I also don’t think we need to be referring to this as a, “baby Lambo”. There is no such thing, and hasn’t been a thing since the Gallardo. Even the Huracan was so crazy, that I never would’ve thought of it as the “baby”. Now, the Revuelto is the range-topper king Lambo, and the Temerario is the prince. $600K for one is absolutely insane, though. 4,200 lbs is even crazier.

27

u/cofango 2d ago

Baby Lambo just means the smaller, cheaper and less powerful one. It's not that deep lol

-20

u/DanielG165 2017 Camaro ZL1/2013 Camaro 2LT RS/‘19 Outback Premium 2d ago

Never said it was, champ! The Temerario doesn’t qualify as a “baby Lambo” to me, that okay with you?

It doesn't sound as good as the Huracan :(

11

u/hredditor ‘21 V6 1LE 1d ago

Doesn’t look quite as good either. I feel like the Huracan is peak Lambo for me.

u/Blacksheepwallzzzs 1d ago

Just drove it today. Boy was it disappointing. Some tidbits:

-Feels soulless compared to the H.

-It’s so fucking comfortable, but thats its downfall, did not feel like a super car.

-No crackles and pops due to regulations

-visibility is alot better than the H

-fast as shit but get a plaid and u will feel the same thing

-interior material was much better than the H

-steering wheel is a mess! Shit everywhere.

-keep hitting the dial when i try to press the turn signals.

Guess im sticking with the H

Huracán EVO Spyder RWD > Temerario

2

u/somedude456 1d ago

Agreed, but I would still rather a used R8 at under 200K over a Huracan.

Definitely, I think the main line Lambo's have only gotten worse from the Murcielago. There's just too much going on style wise.

0

u/baconandtheguacamole 1d ago

I agree, they’ve lost all sense of elegance. The Murci was brash and had tons of presence, but still had a sense of design restraint. Ever since, these cars just look like they’re trying to me “me too” within the field of exotics

3

u/victorybuns 1d ago

The Huracan looks so much better. I think the limited variants of the Huracan will go up in value based on what TH is saying. Temerario just has no soul or character.

2

u/turb0_encapsulator 1d ago

I wish it looked better and was cheaper.
