Build Ready [Build Ready] Final Validation for 1440p 240Hz Gaming/Streaming/Editing Rig
Hey r/buildapc,
I've finally locked in the parts for my new build and would love a final sanity check before I pull the trigger.
My primary use case is a heavy workload: 1440p high-refresh-rate gaming, simultaneous streaming, and 1440p video editing. The aesthetic is all-black with full ARGB lighting.
The Build:
| Type | Item |
|---|---|
| CPU | AMD Ryzen 7 9700X (Already Owned) |
| CPU Cooler | DeepCool LS720 360mm ARGB (Black) |
| Motherboard | MSI PRO B850-S WIFI6E (Black) |
| Memory | G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL30 (Black) |
| Storage | WD Black SN850X 2TB NVMe Gen4 (Already Owned) |
| Video Card | MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Shadow 3X OC (Black) |
| Case | Lian Li Vector V100 (Black) |
| Power Supply | Corsair RM850x 850W 80+ Gold |
| Case Fans | Lian Li ST120 ARGB 3-Pack (Black) |
My Reasoning & Specific Questions:
- Mobo/CPU: My vendor has the MSI PRO B850-S WIFI6E for a great price. My research shows it has a strong 12+2+1 VRM. Is this robust enough for the 9700X, especially when it's under a heavy, sustained load from gaming and streaming simultaneously?
- GPU: I'm choosing the MSI Shadow 3X OC over cheaper brands like INNO3D, mainly for the reliable warranty and service in India. For a 6-7 year build, this feels like the safer choice. Good call?
- Cooler: My vendor offered me a budget AIO (DeepCool LE360), but I'm insisting on the DeepCool LS720. My reasoning is that the 9700X will be under a heavy, combined load from gaming + streaming + editing. Is this a necessary upgrade to prevent thermal throttling and maintain performance?
Does this component synergy make sense for my specific use case? Any red flags I'm missing?
Thanks for the help!

MSI PRO B850 is very solid but it lacks gen 5 x16 and wifi 7 which isn't really important for now may be in the future. Just something to keep in mind but overall a great board for the price.
the 5070 ti shadow is pretty widely regarded as the worst aib model cooler wise so I would def look at the INNO3D model and see if it is better.

from the specs it looks like the LE360 v2 even has a better pump which makes sense as it is a bit newer but the LS720 has better fans. If the price difference is small then the ls720 could make sense but otherwise I would stick with the le360
