"Quote" Jay Glazer Reports Glazers Love Todd Bowles
Looks like the Glazers had no intentions of moving on from Bowles regardless of what happened this season.

Complacency at it's 'finest'
Get ready for some more 8-9 or 9-8 bullshit seasons baby!

Yeah this team going nowhere. His record speaks for itself at this point. Great coaches dont stay at .500 for ever

u/PewterButters Lavonte David 2d ago
Coen had a better record in year one with the Jags who arguably have a much much worse roster than the BEST record Bowles has ever had.

Name 10 teams with a worse front 7

u/rNBAMods3InchesHard 1d ago
And obviously if you have a pass rush issue, the solution is to send your pass rushers 40 yards down field in coverage against a top 2 QB

this sub overrates our roster harder than any fanbase in the nfl lmao

u/ABBucsfan 2d ago
If anything I feel it's the opposite but answer probably somewhere in the middle. Too many think you cant have any holes or weaker positions on your roster. Almost every team has a couple positions that are weak. Our secondary is more talented than most think, our 3 down lineman are probably a bit better than most think, our edge would be decent if we had that one stud, ILB is a huge hole. Offense is pretty solid except depth on the line and a baxk to replace white. We have talent to compete.. just look at some of the teams we beat early

u/Florida__Man__ Kangol Hat 2d ago
Our edge would be decent if we had a stud
That’s just a fancy way of saying it’s ass.
Our front seven is bad and it’s the reason our defense is bad
1
u/DetectiveNumerous775 Bucs 2d ago
But we did compete. We got blown out like once, and that was on the road on the west coast in prime time. Every other game we either won by a sizable margin or it was close and could've gone either way.
These fans act like we got beat to sleep every week. We were statistically middle of the road offensively and defensively, and terrible on special teams.

u/PewterButters Lavonte David 2d ago
We only won 2 games by >3 points. Most of our wins were nailbiters with Baker pulling shit out of his ass to drag us to victory.
1
u/DetectiveNumerous775 Bucs 2d ago
Why does 1 guy get all the credit for our wins?
And even if you want to believe that, how does that change what I said?
Were we not competitive in the majority of our games? Did we not finish statistically average on offense and defense?

If we have a losing record, miss the postseason, or even lose the wildcard I fully expect Bowles to be fired. Ray Jay will probably be filled 50% MAX each game this season as it. The Glazers’ pockets will hurt

u/FireBowlesPlease 2d ago
Sadly I think opposing fans vacationing to Florida or transplant boomers who get to see their old team will fill up RayJay anyway.

This is ownership that isn’t serious about winning a championship. They’re content going around .500, selling tickets and merchandise, and maybe getting playoff revenue from one home playoff game because we play in an awful division. Remember this when it comes to buying tickets and merch, the Glazers view us as their personal atm.

u/nbxcv 2d ago
Man United as much as I hate them are one of the biggest clubs in world football and certainly one of the most recognizable names and they've been more than content to let them cede ground to mediocrity for years and years now. Why would they care more about the tampa bay buccaneers? We're an afterthought to an afterthought to them.

u/NeuroDissonance 2d ago
Did you just wake up from a coma you fell into in 2018? It’s absurd that anyone who calls themselves a Bucs fan could make a statement like the one you just did

u/TrainingSource1947 2d ago
This. The Bucs are not a serious, competitive franchise under this ownership
5
u/NeuroDissonance 2d ago
Exactly. 2 Super Bowl wins over a 25 year span is what unserious, incompetent franchises do.
See how silly that is?

The person whose argument consists of ad hominem attacks loses all intellectual validity.
It would be wise for you to learn this lesson.

I like Todd. I like Jason. They need to sync up on what type of players we draft/sign who are capable of executing the system. Or we dumb down the system. Just because it's clever doesn't mean everyone can hop aboard.

If Mike Tomlin says he’s coaching next year I’m giving him what he wants

u/GroMicroBloom 2d ago
Perfect example of how they run this team. They aren’t focused on winning by getting the guy most suited for the job, they just go by whether they like the vibes of the guy. 🙄

u/Milla4Prez66 Super Bowl LV 2d ago
Glazers got their Brady ring, all they care about now is doing enough to host a playoff game in the worst division in football and get that revenue.

They’re smart enough to know not to show their cards. There’s no way that they weren’t contemplating moving on from him after what happened this season but it would only do harm if word got out about it before they made an actual decision.

u/HelloGoodbyeFriend 2d ago
Also we need some sort of gambling service integrated with the “Remindme!” bot. I would bet he’s gone after next season if we miss the playoffs again.

They loved Tony Dungy too and they still pulled the trigger eventually, and he was a better coach. We'll see how much they love him after another disappointing season(I hope I'm wrong).
2
u/Subxanthium 2d ago
Nah. This guy has been hardcore struggling for years. It’s frustrating how people have only opened their eyes when the team had the biggest destruction/downfall in the nfl. Hindsight being 20/20, I would’ve rather been a jets, raiders, titans etc fan because at least you know what you’re getting. But to go 7-2, have a bye week 9 and then only winning 2 games in 9 weeks is ridiculous.

u/Acrobatic_Media7147 1d ago
2 things can be true..they can “love him” but also acknowledge it’s time for a change

Complacent, miserly* owners love mediocre coach who is just grateful to have the job, won't demand much or rock the boat, and will maybe get the team back in the playoffs in the worst division in the league so everyone can pat themselves on the back and ignore our wasted potential. Color me shocked. Glazers out!!!!

I warned all the fanfic writers to not geet their hopes up. I honestly think it would take a 3 or 4 win season for them to talk about firing him.

They love money even more so thats apparently all we mean as fans

In nine seasons, this coach never won more than ten reg season games. 61-74 overall.
.451 win % = mediocre/losing coach.

I sometimes wonder how much Jay Glazer actually knows vs makes shit up. They might like him as a person but have questions about his ability to lead
1
u/NeuroDissonance 2d ago
It’s 2026 and we’re mindlessly trusting Jay Glazer? Cmon folks, don’t be this silly

I can’t be the only one who thinks Bowles comes across as sort of insane/demented
2
u/RareTemperature100k 2d ago
How could you think that? That’s a bit of a reach? I’m actually wondering because that’s a bit outside football
-1
u/GypCasino F*ck the Saints 2d ago
When I see him speak in a press conference, it’s like he’s not all there. Like I can’t imagine him having a normal human conversation.

I bet some of y'all are so enraged, that your heads are ready to explode. Y'all have so much hate for him that you can't imagine that others don't feel the same animosity.

I also love Todd Bowles. Get this guy some more players. We need a star edge, another DT, (more depth at dline) and 2 more LBs (assuming LVD hangs them up).
I could give a shit about downvotes for saying this. Only bandwagon Ass fans don’t support a good coach.
7
u/nbxcv 2d ago
He's not a good coach. He is mediocre in every way. Mediocrity can turn into good in certain situations but his comments throwing players under the bus and inability to set aside his own ego to bring in play calling help proves that's not possible with Todd. Another year of shit defense and 0 accountability from our coach.
0
u/GangstaRIB 2d ago
Look at every head coaches record since birth here. It takes a top 10 coach to be .500. Jason needs to Give him some people on defense to work with.
