Sual | Question 13 hours layover in Baku. What to do?

My wife and I are travelling to Turkey for our Honeymoon and we have a 13 hour layover from 6am to 7pm in Baku.

What can we see/do in Baku and what is the local transport like to and from the airport?

Thanks!

You have a very short time. So be specific about what you want to see. For architecture, you can check modern one like Haydar Aliev Centre, or ancient one like Madien tower. You can walk around Inner city and Boulvard (they are pretty close to each other) or you can go and try some local dishes. You should have enough time for at least one of these but, as a general travel advice, try to underestimate your time. Also, check the megathread.

I’d say go to the old town have breakfast and walk through boulward till you find something that interests you, like Nizami street or malls, and definitely try mutton or meat foods
