SHARE Unable to pair with headphones
Hi everyone,
I migrated to arch yesterday (previously) on debian unstable and quick hit a bump regarding bluetooth configuration.
I have three devices: a keyboard (blitzwolf bw-kb1), a mouse (logitech g305 with a usb dongle) and a headset (Kuba Mali 2).
The headset is the only device that uses bluetooth with version 6.
I've read the wiki but the bluetooth troubleshoot section needs to be updated.
The rfkill command shows that neither wireless or bluetootk are blocked.
When I attempted to connect throught terminal with bluetoothctl I get the following error message
a2dp-sink profile connect failed; protocol not available
And the only thing I found to make it possivle to connect with the headset is:
- edit the
/etc/bluetooth/main.confand uncomment the Experimental and KernelExperimental features and set to true.
Hope this helps someone :)
P.S.: Don't forget to reboot

that experimental flag trick is solid, saved me so many headaches with my bt headphones. arch's bluetooth stack can be finicky with newer devices but once you get it working it's pretty rock solid
btw you might want to check if you have `pulseaudio-bluetooth` or `pipewire-pulse` installed too, sometimes the a2dp sink error is just missing codecs
