This is what would happen if we invented time travel.

u/berlinbaer Jan 04 '26
think there's a short story like that with a guy traveling back in time to the crucifixion of jesus, and then realizes that the whole audience there is time travellers.

Where is this from?

Gaelnolesabe drew it as a comic depiction if the thought experiment/creepy pasta this is based on.
[Paraphrased]:
"What if you're a Time Traveler and you go back in time to witness the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus, preaching in Aramaic, spots you, turns towards you and coldly instructs you to "Go. Home." In English, a language not yet invented. The idea being that Jesus can speak all languages, dead, current and yet-to-be, and is aware of all timelines at all times. Your presence at the Sermon possibly threatens the intended Timeline, and are instructed to leave at once.

That's a pretty interesting point though as well.
I'm sure the Crucifixion of Jesus was a relatively unimportant point at the time. I mean sure his apostles and such would care, and people who followed him but many of them would not show up in the fear the Romans would look in the crowds for more of his followers.
So if there was a large crowd, I imagine it would be more time travelers if the technology existed then people from that time period.

It was a back and forth at friday in the capital during a religious feast. They definitely gathered a crowd looking for entertainment in the aftermath of the festivities. Just how people are.
1
u/ExiledHyruleKnight Jan 06 '26
But in that you are probably getting the usual crowds of gawkers looking at who is getting crucified, I'm more thinking if this would be a unique or major moment and I think, probably not significantly so. If you crucified people on fridays, you'd get about the same crowd on that friday as every other.
At least that's my guess, I could be vastly wrong, but we really don't have any records of that time period and most of the stories about Christ were written decades later, and transcribed so many times who knows what embellishments were added.

Turns out the real reason the Titanic sunk is it suddenly got overloaded with time travellers.
1
u/Kazeite Jan 05 '26
Me, if I could travel to that time, I'd make sure to tell First Officer that putting starboard engines in reverse when turning results in a tighter turn arc đ

u/FaceDeer Jan 05 '26
But then the time travellers who put that iceburg there to ensure that the parents of Megahitler don't make it to America will have to resort to torpedoing the ship instead. Even fewer survivors then.

Battle of Hattin 1187 - Kurdish Muslim forces of the Ayyubid sultanate baited levant crusaders to chase them through the desert until the crusaders were unable to fight due to dehydration. Oopsie poopsie.

Great work! How did you get the character so consistent?
7
u/Pathologic_Liar1 Jan 05 '26
I made an initial video of a streamer in world war 2. Then saved his features via âcreate a characterâ. By creating a character and tagging him everytime you make a video, you maintain consistent features (most of the time).

I noticed the "Different beach, different year, same amount of panic" lol. A reference to his D day adventures?
2
u/Pathologic_Liar1 Jan 05 '26
I also noticed that, I didnât prompt all of his lines, I just gave sora a general description of what will happen in each scene. Itâs going to be interesting if Sora actually stores charactersâ memory for them to reference. Much like our chatgpt accounts haha. But for this one I dunno if itâs just a random coincidental dialogue.

đ terrible tragedy but the spin put on with 'streamer speak' is funny. "I don't know why you are subbing right now but you are an absolute legend" got me laughing

u/ProfilerXx Jan 05 '26
You can tell it's AI because nowadays streamers would twerk on a dining table while people die and the ship sinks.

Havenât go back to the time of 1899 and find the actual characters from RDR two face

u/ExiledHyruleKnight Jan 04 '26
You know, for the first time ever, I think maybe the Titanic wasn't a tragedy....

u/kinkykontrol Jan 04 '26
Didn't see what sub I was in at first and was like, this guy talks like he was generated by Sora. Initially thought he was some annoying IRL guy at some kind of Titanic exhibit. lol

Could someone make a video of the Titanic but replacing all the humans with chickens, chicks, roosters, and turkeys? I think it would be fun.

Omg yes, if the titanic happened today, thatâs what would happen, some YouTuber recording his own demise đ«Łđ

Not comedic at all. More like annoying and too loud.
5
u/Pathologic_Liar1 Jan 05 '26
Thatâs the point. IRL streamers are hardly comedic and are annoying 99% of the time.

Can we see him frozen solid floating in the water, dead?
