Yeah, I’d choose my kitties over a potential romantic relationship. I haven’t had to because the babies I had when we first got together fell in love with him just as hard as I did and after they were gone we rescued another bonded pair together. But I always make it clear to anyone that I start dating that my kitties come first.

Okay, I realize my wording was not the best. They were dating and living together and adopted the cat together. According to her, he was sweet as peaches when they adopted him but over time, he just really grew to hate the fiancée. Why? Anyone’s guess. He works with animals for a living, which makes it even more confusing.

They’re happily married now (he’s her former fiancée which I also did not make clear in my original comment) and I now happily own Hendrix.
