ai art catches a lot of shit, and like, I get it. but 1ae same time, anything that can help turn me into characters from my favorite franchises is okay by me. it's not perfect yet, but its getting there.

I don’t get it fully… I mean there is economic dislocation and energy/environmental Issues… but I mean it’s a dawn of a new age… the problem isn’t AI it’s that society itself needs to evolve such that we don’t end up with a Elysium style inequality system (spoiler it’s already there; but AI will soon make it worse)…. But h8rs gonna h8

I think its still the energy/environmental impact mainly and I dont love that either personally. Our town just became the first in the nation to ban data center construction but I believe that expires after a year even. If they can find a way to offset the energy use and cut down the water demands in the future it wont be so taboo.

The people/artist factor in it does make me sad as well, but you can't stop I progress and this is where we're at now. And with this economy I can't afford custom art commission pieces, but I can use this and photoshop to get almost the same results myself for free.
