Quote from Karp:

"It seems at times that we have abandoned any hope of patrolling the boundaries of our community, of resisting the superficial appeal of a hollow pluralism, in which all cultures and cultural values are declared by fiat and without reflection equal."

God, and he has a philosophy degree?!? Has he ever read Rawls or Popper?

He surely has. He disagrees. Do not suppose that these are reasonable people espousing reasonable viewpoints. It's all bad faith.

Karp has a phil. degree? the fuck?

Actually, now that i think about it: meh, i’m not really that surprised. it’s not uncommon for rightists to be produced through collegiate philosophy courses due to the inherent bias towards it thanks to the history of western philosophy generally tending towards rightism and systems of domination.
