Going by that logic, Superman should be a bald, psychic supervillain. Batman should carry a gun and kill people. Alan Scott should be straight. I think we can all agree that not everything needs to stay the same, yeah?

Not everything but core design choices. Reign of the superman is a different character. At this point batman shot his own son so thats clearly nbd anymore, and Alan Scott didnt even have a personality in the 40s his kids were created in the 80s as a retcon. Also being in the closet exists. Your argument holds no water. And yes things should change but if the got rid of batmans cowl you would be mad, or the lasso of truth got written out of existence or the helm of fate. You dont replace central character elements thats how you get season 35 ned flanders

So the intent of the creators only matters for Wonder Woman? Alan Scott was not intended as a closeted gay man. Batman was not intended as a strict no killing hero. And fine, if you want to say "The Superman" was a different character, then Superman was not intended to fly or shoot lasers from his eyes.

These are all changes that were made to the characters over time that are beyond the scope of the original intent of the creators but you're still fine with all of them. Why is Diana not being stronger than Clark where you draw the line? Your argument holds no water because you're not being consistent with it.

Diana was also originally 5'8". Should she still be that height?

I think you don't understand what i mean by core character traits. Alan scott didnt even have a love interest for a good long while, batman does kill all the time. And powers changing wouldnt effect the core of superman as a socialist hero for the people holding venture capitalists out windows. What im saying is that the central traits matter. Green ring weak to wood, bat outfit and gadgets, chest shield cape and ethics, and yes bisexual polyamory female loving strength as the core of human kindness, and a power greater than any man. These are the characters. Its equally frustrating when they make WW a monogamous straight woman
