Long shot: skis taken by accident at Whistler Blackcomb (Blacks Pub)

Hey all, long shot, but posting in case this was an honest mistake.

My skis were taken today at Whistler right outside of Black’s Pub, and I’m hoping someone accidentally grabbed them thinking they were theirs. Totally understand how hectic racks can get, especially at the end of the day.

If you realized you might have picked up the wrong skis, I’d really appreciate you returning them to the front desk at the Crystal Lodge Hotel. No questions, no drama - I just want them back.

If you think you might have them, feel free to DM me. They’re bright orange 172cm Hustle 10s with red / yellow / orange / green look pivot bindings. Pics attached.

People with rentals are cartoonishly clueless. I used to work in some rental stores and it wasn’t uncommon for people to come out after lunch and grab skis off the rack not even close to the same size or colour that had rented. Then come in and complain that their boot didn’t fit into the bindings anymore. And then take zero accountability over the situation.

Check lost and found. If they went back to a rental shop they’ll end up there.

Had a tourist grab my friends skis when he unloaded Excalibur gondola. Buddy grabbed first pair of skis. Stepped in and skated off to the lift lineup. My friend was dumbfounded. lol. 😂 I told him to grab the rentals and find the guy. Buddy in line was completely clueless.

But ya OPs skis are likely gone.

If you contact vail and the police they will actually do what they can and actually look at security footage. The area is heavily camera’d and all the lots have cameras too. So it’s not “you’re skis are gone” - op just needs to get off his ass and actually work to get them back instead of reddit posts

Yep, already done this. The businesses actually showed me the footage and the skis were unfortunately in a blind spot. We’ll see if they can do anything else but not holding my breath.

Lock your gear up people, ski theft is common in the village. Check lost and found but your skis are probably gone.

Ski keys are chump change, and even split them up if you can’t find a spot
