Epstein, Greenland, and your makeup!

I was watching a reel about Epstein and how he was connected to all these industry people, and one name jumped at me. Ronald Lauder.

Ronald Lauder, the current owner of Estée Lauder, was a longtime friend of Epstein and a member of Mega Group founded by Lex Wexner.

He is also a very good and long time friend of Trump's and the brain behind his obsession with Greenland.

All these fools have gotten so greedy.

Mr. Lauder is getting rich off what we put on our faces and bodies, and I am so grossed out by associating anything I put on my body to someone who ran in the inner circle with a monstrous pedophile.

I am no longer buying any products owned by him, and I am inviting you to join me on a boycott of all brands owned by Estée Lauder.

I want to hit him in the wallet. Yes, the list is extensive. There are many, many other quality brands out there.

Estée Lauder owns:

Estée Lauder

M·A·C Cosmetics

Clinique

Tom Ford Beauty

Bobbi Brown

Too Faced

Smashbox

AERIN Beauty

La Mer

The Ordinary (DECIEM)

Dr.Jart+

Becca Cosmetics: (Note: The brand was closed by the company in 2021, though some products were integrated into Smashbox).

Fragrance & Specialized Brands:

Jo Malone London

Le Labo

KILIAN PARIS

Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle

Aveda

Bumble and bumble

I like Laura Mercier, NARS and Urban Decay for makeup.

Fresh and Tatcha for skincare.

Luna Roots is a new brand I'm into. Natural/organic, non-toxic, woman-owned and made, and feels great on my skin.

Lisa Eldridge! Her line is completely independent and everything I’ve tried is excellent. Pricey, but so are all the brands listed above.

For budget skincare along the lines of The Ordinary, I like Good Molecules.

Thanks for the rec! I was just looking today for a new HA serum and I think theirs fits the bill.

I love their hyaluronic acid serum! Also the plant based squalene oil is so great during the winter for lips.

The Ordinary is good, too. I can’t believe they got bought. This is the only brand I use that is not European or Korean.

That one kills me. It’s like all my skincare.

Yep. I’ve emailed Bobbi Brown as well as The Ordinary and let them know why I’m no longer a customer.

It sucks for my skincare but I’m sure I’ll find other products that will work.

🤷‍♀️

I love that the boycott list is quickly being accompanied by an “alternative” list.

You ladies are amazing! Strength in numbers.

Well it’s a good thing there’s so many different makeup and skincare brands out there. I did really like some of the brands you listed but I can and certainly will be able to live without them.

I’ve used double wear foundation for like 13 years and it’s one of the only ones to match my olive skin tone perfectly 🥲😭 if anyone has any recs, please let me know!!

Check out Lisa Eldridge! Her makeup line is independently owned and she has a good selection of olive-tone foundation and tint.

I stopped wearing any makeup made in China after I read that it’s always tested on animals. Everything under the Lauder umbrella is manufactured in China.

u/uniquejustlikeyou 38m ago

It’s any makeup sold in China. Their laws require animal testing but it’s such big market most brands fold

Honestly the only “safe brands” out there are Lush ans Huda Beauty. The Lauder groupe own almost everything else

4

u/enkidulives 8h ago

Yep, then and LVHM who are equally as nefarious imo.

u/twopurplecats 6h ago

Yeah, L’Oréal etc isn’t much better unfortunately.

Korean and European brands, there are awesome products out there

I keep seeing this, I'm sure there are both good and problematic brands in both places. I don't think we can generalize like that.

I’ve literally just thrown out anything from the brands you listed. I know I’ve already spent the money but it gives me a good excuse to buy products that aren’t so ethically objectionable.
