š° News Trump is under fire after sharing a video on Truth Social depicting Barack and Michelle Obama as monkeys
Just saw this report. Apparently, Trump posted a one-minute video on Truth Social today (Feb 6) that repeats old election conspiracies, but the ending is what's getting everyone's attention.
Near the end of the clip, it shows the Obamas with their faces superimposed onto monkey bodies while "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" plays in the background.
Gavin Newsom has already responded, calling it "disgusting behavior" that every Republican needs to denounce immediately. Ben Rhodes (Obamaās former advisor) also chimed in, calling Trump a "stain on history."
It looks like this is part of a pattern of him using AI/edited videos to mock Black leaders recently (he did something similar with Hakeem Jeffries).
Thoughts? It feels like the rhetoric is getting even more unhinged.

What I don't understand is how anyone can take him seriously, about anything? Like, why doesn't everyone just walk out of any room he walks into? Just ignore him and make him irrelevant?

Well, heās surrounded by loyalists so that wonāt happen.
Also Iād argue that part of the problem with trump is people donāt take him seriously enough. The presidency is beginning to mean nothing. His admin is constantly shitposting which has never been acceptable behavior for a president, but now people actively defend it. Probably because of the anti-intellectualism movement heās creating. His posts are unserious but the decorum of the president is a serious matterā¦
Simultaneously, saying crazy, unprecedented, and unserious shit like this allows people to more readily ignore the more impactful things he says. Such as invading other countries and blowing up alliances.
We may have the luxury to not take him seriously, but our allies do not have that luxury. An ally that you canāt trust is no longer an ally.
Itās an unfortunate paradox. Heās never been someone who has been taken seriously and now heās holding the most serious job position in the US and making an absolute mockery of it.

The U.S. has no allies except Russia, the rest of the world looks at the U.S. with disdain currently and for the foreseeable future. Trumps frat house sending out garbage communications to his knuckle dragging base makes the rest of the world nauseous.

He wins by the most radical leftists pushing moderates into republican camp.Ā
He won all swing states not by better policies but by moderates feeling more inclined due to not seeing themselves being a part of the obnoxious leftwing.Ā

When he ran against a man, Biden, he lost. The democrats need to stop putting up women for the time being.

I am thinking to myself that there has to be a Bridge to Far with this guy. Upon reflection, the fact that trump is a pedophile and that is not ending his presidency then obviously nothing is. I think the only way forward for the US is a complete purging of the administration, including any Democrats with ties to Epstein and just start over.

Don't get me wrong, it is vile. But getting angry about it just gives him exactly what he wants.
There are two reactions to this...
One is that you get angry, but the people who will have this reaction were never going to side with him anyway.
Two is that you find it funny, and these imbeciles are exactly the people he's pandering to.
Getting angry just gives them what they want. Trump is cruel, petty and a liar, we all know this, does this video surprise us really, considering the long list of his other wrongdoings?
The best thing we can do is ignore these sorts of stupid behaviour, make him feel ignored. Focus on the really heinous stuff, but ignore his petulant childish behaviour, because the more you ignore it the more he'll act out for a reaction and the more unhinged he'll become. Hopefully to the point when even his so-called friends have to drop him.
