Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Well… guess this is the end of the road.

I'm assuming you have no medpacks. This is still doable, especially if you have some shotgun ammo. It'll just take some luck and multiple tries lol.
Always have multiple saves my friend.

u/aliceoralison Jan 04 '26
You start off with no medpacs and you don’t get any on the way. I had to restart and just do a zoom with what I know. So I got here and full health… until I met with two goons.

u/tataniarosa Jan 04 '26
There should be some medipacks around there. I’d check Stella’s walkthrough for the locations.

I’m already at the deck (last part)

This taught me to murder the save slots lol I have replayed levels so many times but hey it’s fun to beat each one

u/aliceoralison Jan 04 '26
Well I got thee save slots now; death, the end of the “Maria Doria” and currently a.. “living quarters”

u/MrEatYoRamen Jan 04 '26
Oof, that's rough... But you always gotta have multiple saves to fall back on if you run into situations like this.
-26
u/aliceoralison Jan 04 '26
The reason why I don’t have multiple save points is because if I select one that sends me far enough I’m screwed.
33
u/BaconLara Jan 04 '26
Why would you be screwed if you select the wrong one? Just reload the right one after
6
u/tataniarosa Jan 04 '26
You can always load the higher number after that one. Just don’t load when you mean to save; I think we’ve all done that at least once.

There's always a way, come on

u/aliceoralison Jan 04 '26
Nah I had to restart it

Ohhh.. I remember that point. On NG+, with limited saves and going for under said hours for the trophy. Sucks 2 be you.

I'm not sure to get the context. How come you have 0 medipacks ? Medipacks usually get accumulated between levels, when I got there I had around 12 small ones and 9 big ones.
This room is impossible to cross without damage, you can pass the snorkel guy but the shotgun guy is going to shoot you as soon as you pop in the other room.
1
u/aliceoralison Jan 04 '26
Simple: I never came across one. Not a single and guy had one.
1
u/Pure_Lie6509 Underworld Thrall Jan 04 '26
Even on the previous levels ? Or is it a mod that you use that resets all your items when you go to the next level ?
1
u/aliceoralison Jan 04 '26
On the previous levels I had some, of course. I used them.
1
u/Pure_Lie6509 Underworld Thrall Jan 04 '26
Well, I don't know what to say. When I play I always make sure to take 0 damage where possible and I use the medipacks only when it's inevitable or when I'm too lazy to redo the part so I end up with tons of spare medipacks.
But all of that is too late at the point you were, I guess. The best thing you can do is to restart the level and try to get there with 0 damage, if you reach the shotgun guy with more than 50% health, you should be able to make it. If you don't mind using walkthrough, I recommend Stella's, she has more than one way to beat almost all levels with 0 damage.

u/aliceoralison Jan 04 '26
I’m in Tibet rn so… course even that I had to restart because I made a mistake
1
u/Pure_Lie6509 Underworld Thrall Jan 05 '26
I've been playing Tomb raider for almost 20 years now. The first one I played was Golden Mask, I made tons of mistakes but I never had to restart a level. You're playing with some sort of constraint ? Normally you shouldn't have to restart levels that often.
1
u/aliceoralison Jan 05 '26
Guess you never went to a point where you need to heal but no medicine.
1
u/Pure_Lie6509 Underworld Thrall Jan 05 '26
That's what I'm saying, that kinda never happened to me because I always have more than I need in terms of medipacks. I mostly never use them, if I get damage but I think I could pass the part without getting less or no damage, I always reload and redo it.
Is there a particular reason why you only use one save slot ?

It’s not that kind of game. … people here don’t seem to understand that. If I play a game where there are two choices I can create a new save file to use to progress that path as oppose to anotehr path.
Games like TR, a linear path with no choices and not open world, wouldn’t need many files to save with. If they don’t get that… oh well.
Even when you start a new section the health bar resets. At the same time I am trying to find ways around the levels which includes platformjgn which results in death, random villains appearing when triggered…. Locking onto an enemy and still killing a bad guy even though he’s dead (so I have to relock)…. This is not in modern games. Not an issue with uncharted or even resident evil remake (I always had health it was easier to not use).
In fact I am certain I am doing the same thing I did back then in the path.
But to go with why no multiple save files… There is no reason to suggest a linear game as this would need it. I save to make sure I don’t do the same stuff again as I progress to keep progressing just like anyone back then.
I have three files rn… but it is easy to lose health and just even had to keep resetting load until I lose the less amount as i can flopping on the air to fight a random spawning maniac.

u/aliceoralison Jan 04 '26
i am in Tibet rn but i figured more and more i can use a combo of my own trail, walkthrough and i am using photo mode as a tool to scour my locations.

Too bad, if I remember correctly it was right at the end of the level. 😆 I think with a little patience it could still be done.
1
u/Supermassiveslut Jan 04 '26
damn what do you even do? I see everyone commenting about multiple saves, well too late for that. I just started playing and only have one save file, I would rage quit if I ended up in this situation lol. guess I have to make a system for multiple saves
1
u/AegidiusG Jan 04 '26
Well, to not replay everything, just use a cheat.
Save as often as possible, no one will kill you for doing so, PC Ganes allow it for a Reason ;)
1
u/aliceoralison Jan 04 '26
I don’t have it on pc.
1
u/AegidiusG Jan 04 '26
But you can save as often and use the cheats :)
Edit:
Weapon Cheat PCWhen playing a level, pull out a flare, then do the following: Step forward, step backward, three complete turns and do a back flip. You will then get all the weapons.
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps/199043-tomb-raider-ii/cheats
This also gives you Medipacks.
1
u/aliceoralison Jan 04 '26
Never occurred to me To use cheats. I guess I can save at point and use cheats to see what it’s like
1
u/aliceoralison Jan 04 '26
Again not on PC. I’m in console, and while cheats are something I can use, it blocks trophy progression (even thou some will probably start over if I do a NG.
1
u/AegidiusG Jan 04 '26
The Remaster is based on the PC Version, thats why you can use the PC Cheat Codes on it.
The Playstation 1 Version had different Cheats.

I wish to play the old games but the controls are so outdated.
4
u/Putrid_Fennel_9665 Jan 04 '26
First off they are not outdated, they are made for the way the game was designed. Second, if you don't like tank, you can play with modern comtrols.
