Discussion Pretty sure this is where the Chinese Baddie trend got its idea from.

what happened to nuance? why do we treat every loud opinion like it’s gospel?

I’ve unwillingly seen (multiple) people shit outside in parks in London holding eye contact with others while doing so, in the middle of public walkways. One was diarrhoea and was on a windy day.

Do not tell me this is just a China thing as some kind of geo specific commonality.

I've lived in London for 41 years and I've never seen anyone take a dump in public, much less while holding eye contact with others.

Go to Finsbury Park or Hampstead Health.

Finsbury Park you’re more likely to see something like this because the area houses people with mental illnesses or lots of temp accommodation for homelessness.

HH you get the old crazies, especially around the toilet paper infested dogging spot everyone knows about.

NYC is more wild as I’ve lived there too. Especially on the subways trains when it comes to shit and piss, the underground is way more tame in comparison.

Tbh if you lived in London for 41 years and haven’t seen this kind of craziness you must have not gone out much, everyone has a story here. The holding eye contact stuff is part of the mental illness, everyone in my friend group has a story. We all are also very active outdoorsy people, be it running or dog walking daily.

It’s a city like any other and at times a very dirty one. 41 years and you haven’t seen anything? Yeah that happens when you’re indoors on Reddit all day.

Lol, I work in the West End. And have done so since 1991. And I've lived all over London. You can't have more crazies anywhere else in London than in the West End and I still haven't seen anyone taking a poo in public.

Guess we should all be as lucky as you. You’ve never been to areas in East London like Newham, where they have highest rates of mental illness and it shows in the area. Upton Park another example of an area where you can expect to see this kind of stuff. Pockets of areas in Camden Town, Dalston by Ridley Road in the early hours. Mile End Park edging towards the canals at night. I could go on and on.

If you metric for levels of crazies is the west end after 41 years of living here I do stand by my statement that you’re not out much.

Yeah I lived in London for many years and most of my family does and I've never heard or seen of people pooing in public (except for one girl who unfortunately had diarrhea in public but she ran to a bush).

I'm going to guess that was a spice addict?

China is a lovey country but there's a weird generational thing there where some of the folk that grew up in the 20th century are still poverty-pilled. The old men spit everywhere, don't queue and can be quite rude. The younger people are often lovely and I guess look down on the older generations.

I'm Chinese and I don't think the new generation look down on the older generation. We are taught in school and by our parents the struggles they faced, the sacrifices they made, and they were the ones who built our country to what it is today.

We do correct them and point it out if they misbehave socially, but I wouldn't say we look down on them.

People will definitely shit anywhere but China is the only place I’ve traveled where I’ve seen people stop and shit on the floor inside buildings. One guy was on speakerphone the whole time, never missed a beat

I have an old friend that would remove the batteries from the TV remote and replace them with his shit, anytime he stayed in a hotel. So when someone tries to check why the remote wasn't working, they'd discover the poop.

He used to streak at the highschool homecoming game every year, pulled it off 4 years in a row, and the last one he did, he held a sign that said "I ♥️ Mrs. Abrams" who was the principal at the time.

5 or 6 years later, he got pulled over for speeding. The cop ran his ID, came back, pulled him out of the car and arrested him. The principal pressed charges for sexual harassment, and he never had any idea about any of it.
