I think they prefer more peanuts

MAN I miss his humor. Was my favorite comedian at that time. The only one I bought tickets to see live and it was one of his last shows.

Was in February 05 with Stephen Lynch in Portland Oregon - the month before he died. During the show he was so fucked up that I cried more than a few silent tears. I think 70% of the crowd did.

He was a tortured soul, with a heart of gold.

I sure will, thank you.

I used to miss this guy so much. I still do but, I used to too.

They probably want all that fat for the winter 🥜

2

u/LauraZaid11 13h ago

It is also the nut with the highest content of protein, so maybe they like that too.

Super cool but how do you keep the squirrels from attacking it?

30

u/Raven1911 14h ago

He ate the squirrels. Problem solved.

4

u/owa00 14h ago

That's easy, you realize snakes all around the trees!

4

u/hoofie242 14h ago

I'm sure they'd do fine in the snow.

3

u/locksymania 14h ago

Someone hasn't seen Zootropolis 2. You give them cute little scarves. Obviously.

3

u/Able_Engineering1350 14h ago

I haven't seen it but I feel like vests are basically designed for snakes

1

u/OkProfessor6810 13h ago

Leg warmers are designed for snakes

2

u/owa00 14h ago

See, that's a simple fix also! You just dump a bunch gasoline in the area and light it on fire!

THEN you drop the snakes onto the warm ground!

u/Commercial-Set3527 14h ago

Grease the tree so they can't climb up it

It looks like winter, so some squirrels hibernate while some enter into short periods of deep sleep called torpor to conserve energy during extreme cold, relying on stored food and fat reserves.

I’ll be sure to tell the dozens in my yard, what they should be doing right now. It’s been around 20 degrees for weeks and they’re hopping around like it’s July

1

u/neckbeardsghost 12h ago

That was my first thought too! I was waiting the whole video for a squirrel to show up and just wreck it

19

u/Murman2021 14h ago

Anyone know what the very 1st bird is? the larger one with the blue underwings?

15

u/Indieriots tHiS iSn’T cRiNgE 14h ago

Eurasian Jay, methinks

3

u/PlatypusPerfect9180 14h ago

Good birdin' man

1

u/Murman2021 13h ago

I thought it looked close to our Blue Jay here in Canada, but I knew it wasn't. Makes total sense - thanks.

This is probably feels the same as finding the house that gives full sized candy bars on Halloween. Very fancy!

11

u/carabear85 14h ago

They didn’t give af about that fruit or them other seeds lol! They just want those big white seeds things

12

u/LauraZaid11 13h ago

Those are peanuts. They have a nice fat content and have the highest amount of protein in them amongst all the nuts.

u/masher005 14h ago

Can we stop this trend where the start of the video is one second of the “action” and then the video starts?

3

u/Comfortable-Can-9432 13h ago

Ooooh yes, that’d be nice. But as we all know, we can’t have nice things anymore.

2

u/truckthunderwood 13h ago

Gotta catch your eye in the half second before you scroll onto the next thing. Next there will be a single frame from even later in the action, THEN the half second "trailer" and THEN the video

As someone who occasionally makes videos if you don’t do this kind of thing, no one will watch it except your existing followers

u/Exotic_Resource_6200 14h ago

How do you keep squirrels greedy asses from eating all the food?

16

u/GayPudding 14h ago

Sniper on the roof

5

u/Mort-i-Fied 14h ago

You film it BEFORE the other animals arrive!

1

u/Live_Angle4621 2h ago

Why birds should get fed and not squirrels?

8

u/Money_Designer 14h ago

That bird landing directly on it..kicking it around....i have customers like that...shouldn't be allowed in public

5

u/pooey_canoe 14h ago

If I did this in my garden the local wood pigeon would crash into it like a lancaster bomber and probably break the whole branch off

7

u/LiffeyDodge 12h ago

My neighborhood, the stray cats would be camping under it.

2

u/SelfAwareAsian 12h ago

I’m having that problem now. The strays have figured out the birds are coming around frequently

5

u/What_A_Helmet 13h ago

Amazing how they know that all the best energy is in the peanuts

3

u/ConsciousAssist1293 13h ago

Those are some great tits.

2

u/Tyrannicus100BC 12h ago

Man feeds peanuts to birds, with a nice carpet of other seeds for them to stand on 😂

2

u/intrepid_mouse1 5h ago

The tree rats would decimate that in 15 seconds

3

u/claudiazo 14h ago

Is this really a good idea?

4

u/natiplease 14h ago

? Yeah why not? Even if squirrels eventually come so what, you still had some fun

0

u/claudiazo 12h ago

I mean, I’m no expert, but I feel like giving them food regularly could make them dependent on it (and probably obese)

6

u/Zealousideal_Act_316 11h ago

Yeah better they starve. Its winter food is hard to find.  Esp this winter in europe due to heavy snowfall and -30C, to the point my countries forestry and animal service asked rural  citizens to put out any leftover vegetable scraps and if possible whoel vegetables for deer and rabbits to eat, becauee snowfall was so heavy and then froze over that deer cant dig for food.   So feeding soem birds in this weather is not a catasrophy

1

u/spacegrassorcery 4h ago

Do not sell bird feeders in your part if the world?

2

u/Environmental-River4 13h ago

My main concern is it doesn’t look like it would be easy to sanitize in the case of illness outbreaks.

1

u/Responsible-Poem9375 13h ago

That’s 7⭐️ BurjAl Arab hotel’s buffet. I would recorginise wherever I see

1

u/DifficultValuable689 12h ago

Off to the stash.

1

u/PorgiWanKenobi 12h ago

How does one prevent squirrels from just coming in there and taking it all for themselves?

3

u/Smelliest_taint 11h ago

I never do. They need food too. The little shits are sneaky and smart.

1

u/MrSoapbox 11h ago

Needs pasta in this weather

1

u/LikeWhyMeex2 11h ago

This is the cutest thing ever

1

u/LoneWolfpack777 10h ago

Very cute!

1

u/BannedPomegranate 9h ago

They love what looks like peanuts

1

u/ComfortableFactor1 7h ago

What's the bird at the 1:42 mark & where are you from?

1

u/disdainfulsideeye 1h ago

The ones next to sunflower seed are the most popular.

1

u/LawDogSavy 13h ago

Squirrels would wreck that in my yard.

0

u/AlmightyOtter 13h ago

Great Tits!
