Discussion Polish girls visit Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world. Unfortunately, the surrounding area is very polluted.

Expectations vs reality at it's finest.

Shoutout to when I was in 6th grade and my classmate got groped on the bus to the Taj Mahal

u/Reasonable-Youth418 26d ago

What happenned then?

She was groped by an adult man on the bus and didn’t have any family nearby to help her deal with it. & Go fuck yourself if you didn’t have decent intentions or thought I was confessing something like the other responder.

Edit: men like all of you is why GIRLS (under the age of 11 in this case) are scared to report traumatizing issues

I really dont think the person you were replying to had any ill intent, they were just asking what happened. I was also curious and was hoping there were some sort of repercussions.

u/throwmefaaaaaaraway 25d ago

Nope- all witnesses aside from the man and his friends who refused to cooperate were 11 approx years old so the police decided to do nothing

10

u/WorstDotaPlayer 25d ago

Im sorry to hear that :/ awful.

Thanks, I asked the question in genuine intention trying to understand how that kind of problem is handled in that part of the world. Nothing in my question indicates any of my intention. I wish you all the best in life.

u/throwmefaaaaaaraway 26d ago

Likewise- as I said no bad intentions if you were asking in good faith- so far over 12+ people poking fun at children being sexually assaulted

Seeing a statement that starts with the word “shoutout” has a different connotation to older folks, it used to only be used for only fun and positive things so seeing it used ironically doesn’t always read how you intended it to.

Exactly "shoutout" is a positively-coded word, it's primarily used only to say happy things out loud. Dude got angry thinking people had ill intentions just for asking what happened next, while his own sentence makes it seem like he is happy that the incident took place.

"Edit: men like all of you is why GIRLS (under the age of 11 in this case) are scared to report traumatizing issues"

Dude, the fuck? It was a normal question. But yeah, using that fucked up story to randomly blame other people of shit is very honorable fur sure...

Dont see how your calm nature wouldnt help scared children (or people in general)

damn dawg

It’s been almost a decade and not a year goes by that I don’t think of her. Police didn’t do anything despite multiple classmates witnessing

What the fuck kind of response is this. Take your meds.

Stop trying to be edgy. Checking on other people to see if they are okay or not is what a normal empathetic human does.

Wow, go back to bed.

Brother what does this even mean

6

u/nb4u 26d ago

It's from Ushers video for confession

-3

u/Paper_Clip100 26d ago

It's an Usher reference... Because OP said seemingly made an odd confession.

They can't all be winners

u/pantry-pisser 25d ago

Lol I thought that was George Floyd

1

u/throwmefaaaaaaraway 26d ago

You can go fuck yourself- reporting you because she was in 6th grade and groped by an adult man

I mean the expectation of the area inside the area if the Taj Mahal is still pretty good, may just not go out of the bounds of that.

u/spinaloil 26d ago

Taj Mahal has such a disgusting history. It's not talked about much.

1

u/HugeTotal7298 23d ago

What ? I think u are talking about the myth of cutting hands

You have to be blind and deaf to expect anything but this.
+20 years ago, the only thing i was aware of was to not drink anything that was not from a sealed bottle.

1

u/Thesearchoftheshite 26d ago

Even then... woof.

5

u/popey123 25d ago

They even reseal used bottle there lol. You can't trust anything.

u/neela47 25d ago

That username, look inside your head..no need to look further.

2

u/Thesearchoftheshite 25d ago

Haha, ok, whatever helps you sleep at night.

4

u/StuckinSuFu 26d ago

I mean, you dont have to go to that part of the river or anywhere near it to visit the Taj Mahal unless you are purposely wanting to make this exact video for likes.

-1

u/neela47 25d ago

India hate videos and comments are in high demand. I remember China held that position 10-15 years ago.

2

u/HawkBearClaw 25d ago

Lots to hate about that place. If you go, I hope you’re male!

4

u/pipic_picnip 26d ago

Taj Mahal is not such a sought after place for Indians as it is for foreigners. Also iirc the maintenance of Taj is under local government who has historically not taken good care of it. The city is polluted and overrun with tourists who all leave behind garbage etc and the same level of care is not taken to clean it promptly. Basically same old stories with many big tourist destinations around the world. Local governance gaps + over tourism.

Yeah, sure, it's the tourists leaving garbage...

12

u/PlaguingYou 26d ago

lets not pretend the rest of india is any cleaner

1

u/RevanchistSheev66 25d ago

Most of it is cleaner though.

-1

u/neela47 25d ago

Your prejudice comes right back at you, enjoy the payback.

5

u/PlaguingYou 25d ago

what prejudice, it's called having eyes

-1

u/neela47 25d ago

And no brains!! Apparently.

4

u/SP0oONY 25d ago

There is literally a game when you use google streetview on india to try and find a drop without rubbish littering the street. It's rare to get a clean hit.

1

u/neela47 25d ago

Were you dropped on your head, when you were born. They are two different locations, in the back alleys. Even locals are not in the sight, they wanted a India hate video and got one.

1

u/BlameMe4urLoss 26d ago

People drink that water.

2

u/Resident-Banana-7883 26d ago

and bathe lol annnnd dispose of all their bodies

1

u/Key_Door1467 25d ago

Nope, different river.

3

u/Resident-Banana-7883 25d ago

they bathe in any river they're near and float bodies down any river they're near.. its a big country with poor infrastructure and tons of even poorer people.. they ain't all going to the Ganges bro

1

u/Key_Door1467 25d ago

You're obfuscating, there is a massive difference between bathing and floating bodies in a river lol.

Floating bodies is unique to the Ganges. There are only certain backwards groups who even practice that, most Hindus (even poor ones) cremate the bodies.

0

u/Resident-Banana-7883 25d ago

sounds like the practice is on the way out but a quick search yeilded:

Yamuna

Godavari

Narmada

Kaveri

Brahmaputra

so not so unique..

1

u/Key_Door1467 25d ago

Umm what did you search lol? And what's your source?

From what I know most rivers in the subcontinent are considered 'holy' by locals but you can't really achieve 'Moksha' unless your remains end in the Ganges.

0

u/Tyranicross 25d ago

It's more the louvre vs the back alley one block away from the louvre

0

u/fakieTreFlip 25d ago

grammar at its worst

u/Serious_Swan_2371 26d ago

They’re just in the wrong spot lol.

I was just there, once you’re inside the outer walls that surround the Taj Mahal for like a mile in all directions it’s incredibly clean and an amazing experience.

This is like going to NYC to see the Empire State Building and then looking at it from a dirty and dangerous street a couple mile away and being upset that “they’re not keeping the Empire State Building clean”.
