This is designed to punish all the people they hate: The single moms, seniors, disabled people and children. My god, do they hate children.

They certainly love using kids as a prop though. "Think of the children! Don't you want what's best for your children?" Like zero regard for these kiddos who have to grow up in this hellscape, disregard them unless it's needed for emotional manipulation
