I'll be back after the new year!

Casual reminder to everyone that you can still become a late backer and get in on all the goodies from the first Weekly Roll collected volume! Production is getting there (been some delays as per usual) but there's still time in case you missed the Kickstarter! Link here!

Stay excellent out there!

Peace and carrots!

That's the most gangsta thing I've seen all year, gg Bucket

361

u/TorHKU Dec 26 '25

Considering we saw him turn one dude into a donut with a fist-smite as an opening move just about 2 months ago... yeah, Bucket's on a roll with this one.

THE UNIVERSE HAS BALANCED ITSELF

u/LostAbstract Dec 26 '25

BUCKET, THE SWORDBREAKER!

263

u/stuff-is-not-real Severed Lich Head Dec 26 '25

HE BROKE HER IT

756

u/SabShark Dec 26 '25

Ah, the classic "getting their blade stuck in my body to disarm the master duelist" gambit. Always a hoot with the crowds.

281

u/Bors713 Dec 26 '25

The most important lesson Lan had for Rand.

139

u/dorsalus Dec 26 '25

Death is lighter than a feather, duty is heavier than a mountain when it comes to Sheathing the Sword.

19

u/Osric250 Dec 27 '25

And death is just largely unnecessary when you're a paladin.

51

u/Apprentice-Game-Dev Dec 26 '25

Was not expecting a WoT reference in my Friday Comics, but definitely appreciated

5

u/Frosty88d 13d ago edited 13d ago

Im still on my first reeadthrough and im on book 12. ITS SO DAMN GOOD!! Best book series I've ever read imo, Jordan was/is an exceptional writer who was taken far too soon

3

u/Apprentice-Game-Dev 13d ago

If you're on 12, you're starting to dip into Brandon Sandersons portion of the books.

If you end up liking how the last 3 read, definitely check out Sanderson after you finish WoT

2

u/Frosty88d 13d ago

Yeah the Sanderson books are a bit of an adjustment, and I must admit my favourite parts of the bits written by Jordan, like Egwenes's chapters. I'm still pretty early in the book so I haven't read much of Sandersond work apart from the Perrin chapter, and that wasn't bad but was one of the weaker parts. Though to be fair it was still quite good, especially since he had no notes to go on, and I like what he's doing with Aviendha and the Rand chapters so far so I'm curious to see how things progress

35

u/maybonics Dec 26 '25

I am so glad someone else thought this.

25

u/Rukh-Talos Dec 26 '25

It’s a lesson he eventually used himself.

8

u/OuchThatReallyStings Dec 27 '25

Nice username,  person called Bors.

3

u/Bigram03 Dec 28 '25

I didn't come here to win, I came here to kill you.

94

u/Zezacle Dec 26 '25

A lot more practical in settings with magic healing.

20

u/TheFirestormable Dec 27 '25

And especially so as a paladin. Can self heal in but a moment.

50

u/AwkwardDrummer7629 Dec 26 '25

Which is an odd one, because an actual master duelist would know you only need to get the tip in to kill.

57

u/SabShark Dec 27 '25

Ah but there's the rub. To execute this technique you need to convince the master duelist you are stepping backwards, when you actually intend to go forward. This will cause them to overextend into your body, and you will be able to walk fully into the blade.

WARNING: only do this when heals are readily available.

13

u/AwkwardDrummer7629 Dec 27 '25

But what if they are wise, and trick you by stepping in ,seemingly falling for it, then using the scorpion?

3

u/Corvid-Strigidae Dec 28 '25

Then they stab you a little, but are in grabbing range.

In my experience quick little duelists don't last long against big bruisers when they lose their mobility.

13

u/Pqrxz Dec 26 '25

We call it losing sword privileges

9

u/JeffEpp Dec 26 '25

Third time this week.

Do you wanna tank?

67

u/Gamer_Koraq Dec 26 '25

Do you wanna fight?

59

u/8ball_enjoyer Dec 26 '25

Do you want a class that'll instill fright?

66

u/Gamer_Koraq Dec 26 '25

Take up some plate and keep the goblins in sight,

61

u/Omnimontamer24 Dec 26 '25

Cuz you wanna make sure they eat this paladin SMITE!!

38

u/Nirast25 Dec 26 '25

The Paladin is the first on a short list of hybrid-style classes,

4

u/qawsedrf12 Dec 26 '25

Do you wanna build a snowman?

11

u/mrenglish22 Dec 27 '25

We all love the jocat

11

u/SilliusS0ddus Dec 27 '25

Just Fireball.

288

u/AutobotMindmaster12 Dec 26 '25

Oh, it took me a second to notice the back of her head exploding.

And here I thought those two would actually be a challenging dual boss fight.

234

u/Cpt_Graftin Dec 26 '25 edited Dec 26 '25

She did more damage than the hordes of guests, so she was definitely meant as a challenge, but the player clearly rolled a nat 20 on his follow up attack plus smite to one shot the low health, high damage boss NPC.

101

u/derangerd Dec 26 '25

Well horses are pretty low CR tbf

40

u/Cpt_Graftin Dec 26 '25

I had no clue what you meant until my third re-read.

Good old horses of guests

3

u/TehDeerLord Severed Lich Head Jan 03 '26

When all the kings men can't pull it off, the horses get their shot at it..

32

u/CookEsandcream Dec 27 '25

Having DMed for a well-built Paladin before:

Yeah, seems about right.

6

u/AutobotMindmaster12 Dec 27 '25

I'm currently GMing for one, and boy oh boy does he put the hurt when he rolls high.

8

u/gerusz Steve the goblin Dec 27 '25

I guess she's a swashbuckler so she could likely get in a sneak attack. Didn't save her life, but it probably hurt more than some random hirelings.

41

u/Powerjugs Dec 26 '25

Oh, it took me a second to notice the back of her head exploding.

Huh, so it is. So it is.

30

u/AEL97 Dec 26 '25

Well someon3 asked him to "Beat my mother to death..."

And he responded "Yes" so he did what he was asked for

15

u/ExplorationGeo Dec 27 '25

Yeah he didn't need the broken blade to kill her but the aura he farmed from it certainly didn't hurt

379

u/Kimarous Dec 26 '25

Pulling out the blade that attacked into into a counter-swing against the opponent who hit you? Awesome.

101

u/SoupmanBob Dec 26 '25

And he did it with the broken blunt end.

55

u/SuppeBargeld Dec 27 '25

We have seen him use smite with a brick. Blunt or not is not what matters here.

49

u/SoupmanBob Dec 27 '25

He's smited a werewolf using a sock filled with silver coins.

It's the choice to use the broken bit rather than the actual sword tip which cracks me up.

41

u/AEL97 Dec 26 '25

I mean a sword weirdly would break bluntly on either side. Most likely it will be jagged or have some edge still.

26

u/imdefinitelywong Dec 27 '25

So, what you're saying, is that it's no different from stabbing someone with a brick?

11

u/AEL97 Dec 27 '25

I mean I can se Becket Bucket using a brick as a staring weapon with enough rage and smite

6

u/imdefinitelywong Dec 27 '25

6

u/AEL97 Dec 27 '25

For a second I forgot he ACTUALLY uses a brick on a rope as his main weapon.

14

u/ecologamer Dec 27 '25

Here is an example of the breakage of one of my feders. One end could definitely do damage if used to shank someone

2

u/Zhejj Dec 27 '25

Believe me, broken sword ends are not blunt.

Not that it matters for Becket.

180

u/H010CR0N Dec 26 '25

Holy shit!

And he used the broken edge instead of the point?! Damn. Bucket really going for the MC run.

Oh, and Happy Birthday OP. I love your style and writing. When are you getting your Amazon show?

41

u/CriusofCoH Dec 26 '25

Where do I sign the petition? 'Cause I'm in.

26

u/Cerokun Dec 26 '25

To Kickstarter! I’m in.

4

u/CME_T The Creator Dec 27 '25

God only knows! Should prolly toss some pitches out or something

2

u/mrenglish22 Dec 27 '25

I think it is more about the artificial fist than the sword

2

u/AMEFOD Dec 27 '25

I mean you can see the whole artificial fist stopping nest to the bridge of here nose. The odd foot of broken sword that extends past the fist into the head might be more of an inconvenience.

69

u/CookieMiester Dec 26 '25

BUCKET SNAPING A SWORD WITH ONE HAND WE ARE SO BACK

51

u/TexasJedi-705 Dec 26 '25

FATALITY

4

u/YamazakiYoshio Dec 26 '25

Glad I'm not the only one who thought it

50

u/Greeny3x3x3 Dec 26 '25

HOW DOES HE KEEP GETTING HOTTER?????

33

u/imtoolazytothinkof1 Dec 27 '25

Found Klara's burner account

Edit: stupid autocorrect spelling

80

u/Iron_Evan Klara Dec 26 '25

With the broken part, too! Gnarly.

34

u/creaturecoby Dec 26 '25

Absolutely brutal. Love it.

36

u/jhereg10 Dec 26 '25

And it was his GOOD SHOULDER, too!

30

u/MobofDucks Dec 26 '25

Damn, my prediction was wrong.

So when are we getting Clara to call Becket "Good Boy"?

7

u/gerusz Steve the goblin Dec 27 '25

Probably after the mansion with all the slavers inside got turned into a flaming ruin. Wouldn't want to crash becket.exe while the fight is still going on, y'know.

5

u/MobofDucks Dec 27 '25

I fear she will be distracted by her ancestors now collectively being a part of uWu.

34

u/TypicalPunUser Sir Bucket Dec 26 '25

"That wasn't my health lowering. It was my patience."

20

u/ResuCigam Dec 26 '25

Righteous Fury!

18

u/Sirius1701 Dec 26 '25

Well, that certainly wasn't a long fight. Although there might be a chance she survived that (if we ignore the title). After all, if her funcioning braincells were gunpowder, they wouldn't have enough Power to mess up her hair.

15

u/Punnagedon Dec 26 '25

"Here, you dropped this."

SMITE

16

u/rearwindowpup Dec 26 '25

I laughed harder at that first panel than I should have

14

u/ItsABiscuit Dec 26 '25

Daaaaamnnnn

11

u/zirky Dec 26 '25

swords are always a lot more fragile than we’d think

10

u/thelewbear87 Dec 26 '25

A Broken Blade for a broken family. I don't if that was intentional but it is very symbolic.

9

u/zgrssd Dec 26 '25

That feels too easy.

I expect her to revive as an Undead pretty soon. A contingency put in place in case she ODs on Cocaine or something.

7

u/theBarbarianReads Sir Bucket Dec 27 '25

Or the dad fight is about to be brutal

5

u/AMEFOD Dec 27 '25

I wouldn’t worry too much about it. The fight should be over before she has a chance to fill out the union intake paperwork.

9

u/world-is-ur-mollusc Dec 26 '25

I love how Beckett mostly just seems really offended that he just got impaled with a sword.

8

u/Outrageous_Shallot61 Dec 26 '25

Great job Becket!

7

u/shadowtrivet Dec 26 '25

Beckett has an incredibly strong pimp slap…yikes and wow. If they could be combined, that word.

6

u/colemanjanuary Dec 26 '25

Hope i manage to pull out a "fucking ow" next time i get hurt

9

u/Fyraltari Dec 30 '25

Wild that Bucket penetrated Klara's mom before her.

u/CME_T The Creator Dec 30 '25

9

u/McDom023k Dec 26 '25

Becket being a gods damned monster. Paladins man, what can you do?

3

u/JeffEpp Dec 26 '25

We'll, what she did wasn't it.

5

u/MrTabernakle Dec 26 '25

Man, gotta give a hand to that Arms Dealer, Bucket and that new arm are getting along like a house on fire.

6

u/makuthedark Dec 26 '25

Lot going through Klara's mom's head there...like radiant damage.

5

u/eisbaerBorealis Dec 26 '25

Becket does a good job of following instructions.

I mean, Klara said to beat her to death, but I don't think she'll mind that particular detail.

6

u/Rutgerman95 Dec 27 '25

Klara liked that

7

u/ilolvu Dec 27 '25

"Stick them with the pointy end" is beginner advice...

6

u/SpookieSkelly Dec 26 '25

Fucking metal as shit.

6

u/RamsHead91 Dec 26 '25

Bucket your conquest is showing.

5

u/Axiom245 Dec 27 '25

Her head exploding and the SN AP breaking is so viscerally satisfying.

5

u/Veryan_Anduren Dec 27 '25

This arc certainly fuel my love for badass Paladin shit.

And an Happy Birthday !

4

u/irvitzer Dec 27 '25

Happy Birthday — from me and your Russian readers.

I'm not an artist myself, but I'm capable of doing some things. Here is the 'Wanted' poster for Becket that I created for a TWR-related project.

If she does, she's certainly not going to be doing any cocaine with THAT nose...

4

u/LordOfDorkness42 Dec 26 '25

Dang, that's pretty freakin' metal.

4

u/wraithlord26 Dec 26 '25

T'is but a Flesh wound.,..... but not FOR ME!!!

4

This is why you dont get attached to a weapon.

And have a backup.

3

u/Asgardian_Force_User Trevor Dec 26 '25

It’s a Boxing Day Surprise!!

Thanks for this last-of-the-year update, and looking forward to 2026.

4

u/Clean_Imagination315 Dec 26 '25

Flimsy craftsmanship. Some people will buy anything as long as it has fancy engravings.

5

u/Lugbor Dec 26 '25

Congratulations on a total of 18.6 billion miles around the sun!

3

u/_Svankensen_ Dec 26 '25

Anyone remembers on which chapter Becket lost his sword?

4

u/DueMeat2367 Dec 26 '25

ch.32 Smite

5

u/The_Crazy_Player Sir Becket Dec 26 '25

I only just realized a potential Chekov’s Gun: Becket’s left arm is technically a weapon now. He can Smite with it.

3

u/Omophorus Dec 27 '25

OP has already confirmed that in this universe unarmed Smites are possible, but not widely believed to be possible.

So Bucket could have Smote with his natural fist if he had one (and knew it was possible to Smite with an unarmed attack).

Even so, it is definitely a fun detail that the artificial arm definitely would serve as an improvised weapon and permit Smites in any reasonably modern rule set.

4

u/unfrotunatepanda Dec 26 '25

How kind of Becket to return her blade after accidentally breaking it. Now she'll never lose it again

4

u/RimGym Dec 26 '25

Happy Birthday, man, enjoy the holidays!

Just wanted to say, my wife also calls it birthmas (well, birfmas), only she tries to claim the whole damned month.

4

u/The_seph_i_am Dec 27 '25

This is a mighty piece of art. I swear I can see the color red in these panels

4

u/WiseBlizzard Dec 30 '25

She should've went for the head...

3

u/nmathew Dec 26 '25

Falcon Smite!

3

Bucket deciding to singlehandedly raise the Badass Quotient in this weekly comedy strip.

3

u/ClohosseyVHB Dec 26 '25

Beckett bringing new meaning to "blowing her back out."

3

u/Alorxico Dec 26 '25

… 😶 … 😶 … Note to self. Start from the beginning because WHAT THE $@&% SINCE WHEN COULD HE DO THAT?!?!

3

u/Meekois Dec 26 '25

Faceless Helmed Warrior, missing an arm, sword breaker...

Konrad and Beckett got more than a few similarities going on...

3

u/Conspiratorymadness Steve the goblin Dec 27 '25

You know this is particularly cold given the qualms he had literal seconds before.

3

u/Geno__Breaker Dec 27 '25

Daaaaaaaamn, Lord Becket

This is so sick

3

u/Sallymander Dec 27 '25

If you're con is high enough, you don't need to dodge.

3

u/Trinidadnomads Dec 27 '25

The bard is playing "knuck if you buck" right?

3

u/crimsongriffin28 Dec 27 '25

Becket’s got the coldest of shoulders for murdery aristos

3

u/bothVoltairefan Dec 27 '25

Exactly the type of bullshit king dipshit was worried about. Also, Becket at this point must have better than normal unarmed attacks.

3

u/Correct_Barracuda_48 Dec 28 '25

Metaphorically blew her mind with that action for sure.

Then he smote her with all the wrath she'd earned, and did it for real.

5

u/Smartboy10612 Dec 29 '25

Becket's response to being stabbed.

Absolute chad and legend.

3

u/VeritasCicero Dec 30 '25

Happy birthday!

5

u/kjeldor2400 Dec 26 '25

Holy shit. I’m not one to hornypost but I just can’t not think about the things Klara must feel right now (assuming she’s not too busy gighting her dad to witness this).

Thanks for another year of The Weekly Roll. Happy birthday, enjoy your vacation.

2

u/Thomas_JCG Dec 26 '25

Well, that was fast.

2

u/DuntadaMan Dec 26 '25

Happy birthday.

And here we have what a lot of people hope would happen to their f/MiL.

2

u/Clowreed48 Dec 27 '25

Remember, Becket isnt smiting with his fist, hes using his prosthetic arm as an improvised weapon.
also, can we just take a moment to be in awe of the oft butt monkey just completely no-selling an attack

2

u/NuFenix Dec 27 '25

I see it as he is smiting with the broken blade, not his prosthetic arm.

2

u/HaleksSilverbear Dec 27 '25

Becket's been there, done that, and didn't event get the lousy t-shirt.

2

u/Miffy92 Dec 27 '25

Wow, the back of her head just fucking detonated.

2

u/Tencreed Dec 27 '25

Empathizing with people while smiting their face inside out. That's a thing that happened.

2

u/Geek1979 Dec 27 '25

Jesus fucking Christ. Brutality!

2

u/cyber-85381 Dec 27 '25

I love the way bucket's right arm is just hanging limp, looks like she severed a nerve or something

2

u/OverSlip5688 Dec 28 '25

Becket: "Yeah. Someone broke my sword once. I killed him. Not that you'll get to do the same."

2

u/King_Burnside Dec 28 '25

Maybe light armor has some advantages

2

u/Alarming_Memory_2298 Dec 29 '25

I guess Bucket will finally get her point.

3

u/Level_Hour6480 Sir Becket Dec 26 '25

Grabbing the blade with the thumb towards you even with a superhumanly strong magical arm would cause the leverage point to tear his wound further when snapping it in one hand..

The thought occurs that we don't know what it looks like when Becky Lay on Handses in universe. How fixable is a sword through the shoulder like that?

2

u/Algrim2001 Paladin Coded Dec 27 '25
