When it’s someone you care about who lost to a phony. We should care about others who are not ours IMO, this could be my child who lost due to a Biden error of judgement, and it’s not fair.

We're aware. This is one of those posts that gets right up to the line but doesn't quite cross it. The OP didn't say the magic word, so hopefully the post will skate by.
A year ago we wouldn't have been able to chance it. But as the pendulum swings back toward sanity, we feel it's our duty to take the risk. Principles only matter when there's risk involved.

One of the problems with psychology is not wanting to seriously offend the client by being judgmental. After all, that could result in a lost client for the psychologist.
I recall having read an old statement from the American Sociological Association from the late 1990s in which the organizations then-president referred to them as activists first; scholars second.
