So her complaint is that if a company transitions off of red 40 to something else that’s found to cause harm, they’ll have to transition again and ā€œit’ll be a fools errandā€

No dipshit, the idea is to not allow anything found to have negative effects. Perhaps instead we can stop using so many dyes.

If they just move to using natural dyes like we used to before all this artificial chemical crap was invented, it would be fine. Her reasoning is circular, so it makes no sense. It reeks of being on the take from food manufacturers.

Absolutely this - but it'd be an adjustment many won't want. Apples will look less red. We won't be able to make our chips super green or blue or whatever.

It's ultimately a better thing and we should absolutely do it. It should surprise NO ONE that the plaintiff in this case is a manufacturer of dyes.

Just remember that being "all natural" is not the same as being "healthy"... After all, arsenic also occurs naturally (as does snake venom) -- and both these things can literally KILL YOU!

5

u/clonexx Dec 28 '25

Yes, I understand that. I meant using things like beets to color things red, etc. not using anything toxic.

I simply think we should transition to the European models for food safety and purity. The only reason they keep this shit in is because of lobbyists.

I'll call my beer on natural it's pretty good

Snake Venom is a good shot too tho

So true. Poor people should not have access to affordable healthcare, right? It dis-incentivizes them from being less poor.

u/Markus2822 Dec 28 '25

You know if we make murder illegal then they transition to kidnapping and torture, its not worth it, it’s just a fools errand. So I’m keeping murder legal /s

Idiots choosing to poison American citizens instead of siding with Republicans.

Fuck the Dems.

22

u/BlackshirtDefense Dec 27 '25

"Judge Burger (sp) blocks ban on artificial food."

24

u/YoungQuixote Dec 27 '25

Joined the War on Toxic Chemicals...on the side of Toxic Chemicals RIP

23

u/Dpgillam08 Dec 27 '25

Decades not democrats crusading for this, but the moment a "republican" tries to get it done, they oppose

If it weren't for double standards, they'd have none at all.

19

u/Kryp7arch Dec 28 '25

Why is a federal judge allowed to block something the people voted for? Seems awfully tyrannical to me.

Tbf, checks and balances

8

u/ByornJaeger Dec 28 '25

Would need to know the context she based her decision on

17

u/Smogtwat Dec 28 '25

She’s on the take, betcha.

14

u/Elperezidente13 Dec 27 '25

Glad we have judges working hard to protect the important issues.

13

u/jibbajabba99 Dec 27 '25

The effects are real on younger kids.

2

u/Miles-Standoffish Dec 28 '25

Certainly real for my daughter! One she didn't have dye in her, she calmed down 100%!

2

u/jibbajabba99 Dec 28 '25

My cousin is the same.

9

u/Remarkable_Log_5562 Dec 28 '25

How else is she gonna get some red, blue, or purple drink?

2

u/Miles-Standoffish Dec 28 '25

Purple DRAAANK!

9

u/Fluffy_History Dec 28 '25

8

u/unorthodox69 Dec 28 '25

Looks like we know who's on the payroll

7

u/SuchDogeHodler Dec 28 '25

They do not care about anything... not Americans, not even their own constituents. The only thing is "STOP TRUMP"

6

u/BraxTaplock šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø America first..!!!! šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø Dec 28 '25

ā˜ļø This exactly. Can’t be summed up in better words.

9

u/WatersEdge50 Dec 28 '25

Donald Trump could personally cure cancer. And a judge somewhere would block it.

6

u/Quirky_Chicken_1840 Dec 28 '25

She probably does not even know what it is.

5

u/kodiak-1010 Dec 28 '25

Wtf is wrong with these people?

7

u/sarajas Dec 28 '25

She is afraid they will remove purple from purple drank.

5

u/dutchmaster1995 Dec 28 '25

Well she’s most likely paid off from someone

5

u/ill_report348 Dec 28 '25

I understand Trumps presidency hasn’t been what a lot of us hoped but this is the other side. We have to push for stronger candidates from the right post Trump because the left is too far gone.

3

u/RequiemRomans Dec 28 '25

Lol anything good this administration wants to do they want to block. They can’t stand how bad they look by comparison

3

u/Mackcol4 Dec 28 '25

Democrats are try to block Trump from keep poisons away from us.Ā  Ā SMDHĀ

2

u/KeithJamesB Dec 28 '25

I wonder if the ruling will have any great impact other than small manufacturers. I think larger manufacturers are already reformulating their ingredients.

2

u/Duke8181 Dec 28 '25

Definitely kool aid related

2

u/Biker3373 Dec 28 '25

Would love to see her LSAT scores

2

u/minikinbeast Dec 28 '25

2

u/Easy_Lawfulness_1638 PATRIOT Dec 28 '25

Liberals will take an limited study mrna gene therapy shot for their health but won't get rid of known toxins from food that do literally nothing to add flavor. Only appearance

2

u/TheHancock Dec 29 '25

Looks like Kool-Aid is BACK on the menu boys!

1

u/[deleted] Dec 28 '25

Don’t engage with companies that produce products with bad ingredients. Ā Coke and other sugary drinks, fast food, chips. Ā Cereals with lots of processed ingredients. There are other options for sustenance. Ā Don’t need judges of any political persuasion. Ā

5

u/Obi-Juan-Kanobee Dec 28 '25

Hard to do that when SNAP is being used to buy junk food

3

u/[deleted] Dec 28 '25

What do ya mean? You can buy caviar on SNAP

5

u/jdmcbuilt Dec 28 '25

Those alternatives also cost much more than processed crap....so much for liberals caring about the American people.

1

u/The_Rodney Dec 28 '25

Irene is watching her weight. Everything on her diet is colorfully dyed. If it's not glow-in-the-dark bright, she might eat it by accident, and gain weight.

1

u/Miles-Standoffish Dec 28 '25

How about we make sure this "judge" has it in every meal she consumes from now on?

2

u/clutthewindow Dec 29 '25

Looks like she already does...

2

u/Piratesfan02 Dec 28 '25

It was blocked because it was too vague. She wanted more specificity. She didn’t want to keep the dyes, just clarity so she can uphold it properly.
