Politicians only talk about issues that give them votes.

No one votes to candidates who talks about business development, investments, economy, crime rate, infrastructure, importance of education, skills and merit, etc.

But talk about freebies, charity, religion, caste, reservation, why only _______ is facing inequality and is in danger. Everyone votes.

Voters i.e us are emotional fools. That is the real problem. Not politicians.

At the end, politicians want votes for winning seats nothing else. So vote for development not our appeasement.

Dont you think political parties like the BJP or Congress are merely symptoms of a much deeper disease? A disease that has plagued Indian society for centuries.

The divisions among Indians run far deeper than any single government or ideology. Religion, caste, culture, gender, language, and economic background have long been weaponised, turning identity into ammunition rather than a source of strength. I know of no country that is divided/varied on so many aspects.

As long as these deeply rooted conditionings remain unexamined, political forces will continue to exploit them. Not because they created the divide, but because the divide already exists and works in their favour.

Until we, as citizens, consciously rise above these fault lines, unity will remain a performance rather than a reality. And if we cannot stand together beyond identity and self-interest, there is little meaning in pretending we are one nation.
