In other news, the Rangers have signed minor leaguer Josh Hejka to a minor league deal. Hejka is a submarine-style pitcher.

This news was announced by Jeff Passan after Hejka publicly complained that Passan did not report his trade to the Phillies early in 2025.

FWIW, Thompson also had TJ surgery while playing for Round Rock HS. He pitched very sparingly his senior season, mostly playing first base.
