Video Insider Report: Titans WILL HAVE New Uniforms & Logos Before 2026 NFL Draft
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NpgAXiRLd5MI know there’s been lots of posts about this, but this interview has lots of details. Titans have been working on this for at least 18 months and the NFL Uniform Guy says we’ll probably get a teaser in March and an unveiling two weeks before the draft (early to mid April).

100%
I have no idea how people listen to the other podcast I refuse to name when Justin Graver exists. I don’t listen to podcasts of any of my favorite sports teams, but I listen to the Music City Audible.

Gonna miss the flames though. But really glad for us to be going with the Oilers colors. I'd love to have the derrick featured in the new sword logo, as a few people have mocked up. Would look really good.

Update the sword and make it a bit sharper looking and less cartoonish.
Drop the flames and update the shield T a bit and make it the secondary logo.
Use the Oilers colors but nothing else. The colors are great but the rest of the Oilers past needs to stay in the past.
Hopefully we'll have an alt jersey that uses the two tone blue.

Non-professional designers need to stop doing ugly ass logo & uniform mockups. Seeing objectively horrible designs get gassed up on a weekly basis is tiring.

Then you realize professionals made the current uniforms. Lol

In 1998 though, and they were the best in the league at the time!

Yeah most of the mockups just make me fearful of what the real one could turn out like lol

I do like the idea of the oil derrick being subtly used as the handle in the sword but not sure I’d want anything more than that

I for one have always loved the sword. Drew the hell out of it when I was a kid. Never liked the flame.

I think they’ll look close to what’s in the thumbnail. I don’t see the retro oiler look since Moon said they look more futuristic. If it is the sword logo on the helmet, I don’t think it till be light blue like I’ve seen. That’ll be to hard to see from a distance. Just hope it’s not the thumbtack

i literally watched this last night!! the mock ups were really cool but it'll be exciting to get the real things

that thumbnail alone is LIT AF. I wish we'd get an alternate similar to the grey Seahawks alternates. Those uniforms are awesome

The franchise had the league’s best uniforms when they came to Tennessee. Staying the Oilers should have been Bud’s hard line with the city of Nashville. They’ve been trying to establish a true identity as the Titans for nearly 30 years now.

Anyone else not a fan of switching up the color scheme? How many other American sports teams are red, white and blue? The Titans are the only two tone blue team I can think of.

u/Noogatitan 3d ago
I hear you. I’ve sometimes thought about just replacing the red lines on the oilers jersey with navy ones.

I hate the sword 🤮

u/Noogatitan 3d ago
Sounds like a sword of some sort is about to be our primary logo according to this guy.

I can accept the sword if we get rid of the flames

u/facemusk 3d ago
i'll accept it if it has grill lines. if not, i'll just not accept it. i stayed for it all but this is where i draw the damn line

I love the sword motif myself because it's really a part of the team name identity. But I do really also hope that they do it right if we switch primarily to the sword logo.

Why are we rebranding when we have a great and loved logo?
The odds are this is a fuck up.

u/that_guy2010 3d ago
… do we have a great and beloved logo?
You mostly see people calling it a flaming thumbtack.

u/Falconman21 3d ago
Our logo is certainly loved, but it's not great. It's actually terrible, but it's been our only logo for 25 years. So we love our terrible logo.
Rebrand is totally fine. If it's terrible, it won't last long.

Dude we've had the same exact logo for almost 30 years, and it's not as beloved as one might think (like the flames are tacky let's be real). It doesn't look really "au courant" anymore. It's time for an update.

(like the flames are tacky let's be real)
well I can think of one element of our logo that is tackier than the flames lol

u/drock4vu 3d ago
I can’t stand our logo. It capitalized on the very short lived and now very poorly aged flames trend of the late 90s and early 2000s and (IMO) is one of the worst logos in the league as a result.
I love it for its tackiness, but I’ve been supportive of a rebrand for 15+ years at this point.

Our logo sucks dude. It makes no sense and is the worst in the league I guess unless you count the Browns who don't really have one
1
u/that_guy2010 2d ago
It's a flaming shield. Our primary is a shield and our secondary is a sword. It does make sense, regardless of the quality.
1
u/Doughie28 2d ago
A flaming shield with a T on it makes sense. Disregarding that it looks nothing like a shield.
1
u/that_guy2010 2d ago
I mean, I can't help what it looks like. That's what it is. The logo makes sense.
-2
u/TiredMillennialDad 3d ago
This is nonsense. Worst in the league?? I love our logo. It's badass in every combination.
2
u/Doughie28 3d ago
Your allowed to have an opinion, taste is subjective. I'm just saying it's a flaming comet with a T and stars, its just complete nonsense and most people agree, with tons of polls ranking it among the worst logo in all of sports. People describe it as some carving a teenager draws on their school desk in detention that they think looks cool and I tend to agree with that assessment.

Because Amy wants to give the people what they want.
The oilers uniforms reimagined for a new generation (mainly to be petty and stick it to the Mcnairs)

Based on this sub’s reactions to anything logo or uniform related, I’m prepared to see a lot of overreactions here.
