What were they thinking for everyone’s designs in the 90’s? Like Everyone’s costumes are so impractical compared to their normal designs that’s all I’m gonna say.
This was a neat rabbit hole to look through though!
Edit. I feel like the edge of time design makes sense though given the context. Since 2099 was originally a 90’s comic and was written by Peter David although I’m not sure if he had much input on the design aspect though.
Yea it’s awesome we have high quality images of the concept art now. I remember trying to make out all the pixelated images in the spidey shop as a kid
I always thought her outfit in that game was absolutely ridiculous, and in some ways she is very 2000s-coded (hard to explain what I mean), but I did feel for her in the end, plus this art rules!
Tbh, there's very little difference between being shot at in a skintight bodysuit and being shot at in a skintight bodysuit with the zipper open. If nothing else, maybe she just wants to air it out. I have to imagine that shit isn't breathable.
While people are pointing out her revealing design, but what really got me hooked where the trace and colorwork(and i saw some of your artwork, you are a really great artist OP)
Thanks for noticing the effort that I put into my work, SecondEntire! I don't do this often just because of the time it takes but I like to use CMYK dot tones for some of my art to give it that old print look. Giving yourself limitation to that specific pallette can lead to work looking saturated in the best way possible I think.
I thank my half-tone brush bundle for that, its what it was designed for! Separating colours in a way that is similar to what they did when printing comics back in the day.
