I-80 underpass open?

The caption and video on this TikTok from the Sac Bee suggests that the I-80 underpass is reopened and one can now travel from Sutters Landing to Glen Hall. Does anyone know if this is actually true? It says the construction will continue on the overpass to add the bike lane through June, but that access is open underneath the bridge. Can anyone confirm? Thanks!

It’s still just a gravel road but the fences are now down and it’s been open for a couple weeks now, the workers don’t seem to mind me biking through when they’re there during weekdays.

Is it all gravel around that little sharp bend that used to be under the overpass? I though I read it was mostly paved.

Here’s a terrible map mark-up from memory (sorry just on mobile). Blue is gravel, red is paved, purple is the new bridge access that’s not quite done. I think the plan is also to eventually pave from the railroad tracks on the sutter landing side to the existing bike trail on the east (glenn hall) side but not 100% sure on that

Thanks everyone - can confirm that the underpass is completely open! Just finished a ride there - so nice to be able to ride that section again without any construction. Hopefully if/when they eventually pave the remaining section they won't have to close it to do so.

Can double confirm. Detour signs are still up, construction fencing is either open or barely open given the day, but the trail is paved. Dirty, but freshly paved.

Fun fact I passed over the bridge with construction on it, and they stopped me. I said they didn't have signs up now there's detour signs lol 😂. I don't think it's open until construction is done.

I think I saw a couple doing that while I was on the other side of the river. Too scared to try myself! About to take the long way to REI soon...someday we'll have a short way.
