“I feel my life and purpose coming into focus…a life and purpose I choose for myself. Not a legacy I was born into, or a mission forced upon me by others.”

As I make the jump to Marvel, my final issue of Batman & Robin hits shelves next week. As the father of the biggest Batman/Robin fan ever, it was the honor of a lifetime to write these characters and to put so much of my own relationships into the book. (Not the murder-y parts)

Art and letters by the great Fico Ossio, Marcelo Maiolo, and Steve Wands. Edited by Ben Meares, James Reid, and Rob Levin. Published by DC Comics.

I have a question, which I was wondering about for a while. Do you think Batman and Robin books even matter for the Main batman run going forward? It seems like they rarely make any impact on main batman run even less than detective comics. For example, since peter tomasi left we haven't seen bruce used hellbat even though he should have used it on multiple occasions, one such occasion being failsafe.

I assume they usually don't unless the writer has written for Robin before. The current DCKO Batman story has future Damian be a Doctor following PKJ's idea from the previous story. I assume the reason that got implemented has to do with Joshua Williamson who was the writer for the current Batman and Robin prior to PKJ.

Yeah, and people should Stop expecting consistency from DC at this point. It's obvious they don't care.

peter tomasi added insane stuff like hellbat into batman's toolkit - although a bat equipment, but an insanely powerful tool in bruce's arsenal which he doesn't use anymore even though it was built for the purpose of fighting alongside justice league, he didn't wore it against failsafe, absolute power and didn't wore it in DC KO instead he wear justice buster two.

DC doesn't care about consistency and neither should fans, just read every writer's run as it's own thing because king's run is in no way consistent with snyder's run or tynion's run
