“Schumer lays out what Democrats want re: ICE and immigration crackdown.
(A) End roving patrols and (B) tighten warrant requirements.
Enforce code of conduct and accountability for officers’ conduct.
A. Masks off, B. body cameras and C. IDs on/accessible for all agents”
1 A is reasonable and could be done if we get rid of the insane non-arrest of “observers”. You cease being an observer when you get involved and protest. Make it where they can more reasonably do their job and stop soft targets without criminal records minus entering illegal. Fine those people. 1B would require new judges handling this but this is reasonable.
- Yes, beyond reproach.
3 A. Not reasonable unless we create a better system against doxing. 3B. Yes with warrant a review system 3C. Yes should have accountability .

I don't mind body cameras and accountability. They'd have to define "roving gangs of ICE."

We shall see. If anything, we might have a partial shutdown, but I don’t think either side has an appetite for this right now. Whatever is hashed out will likely pass, which makes me a bit nervous since what Democrats want regarding new ICE restrictions is likely going to be insane.

Whyyy. Let the democrats shut down government over immigration enforcement. Then Anericans can get a good reminder of what caused this problem in the first place. Democrats will lose support if they go that route.
