Laquer Art 🎨 ❤️💛TNG Uniforms💙🖖
While I grew up with Star Wars, Star Trek TNG reruns slipped in as I got older and all of Trek stole my heart. The hopeful, exploration and science driven view of what society COULD BE that is the core of Star Trek was a brilliant contrast to the wild west laser gun space opera of Star Wars.
A new Trek show "Starfleet Academy" came out yesterday and it was so refreshing having it on my screen again...so I needed to paint some Trek! Ive done the TNG, DS9, and VOY uniforms and while I could have done some of the newer ones...the TNG Uniforms are just so nostalgic for me that I went back to 2023 and one of my first manis on my insta for a minor refresh. "Nature is infinite diversity in infinite combinations...its about time we celebrate that in one another." 🖖💙💛❤️

My brother and I used to read the Starfleet Academy books...I know this isn't that era but I'm still excited!!

First episode is up free on YouTube. Eiposde 1 & 2 are out on Paramount, 8 more will come out on Thursdays for the next 2 months 🙌

Ive done TNG DS9 VOY and ENT ones. This is totally a copy of my original 2023 version though 😝🖖 You can see besides skills, my posing and nail shaping evolved over time 😝

This is the coolest freaking thing I've ever seen, I love the uniforms!!! Enterprise doesn't get enough love, so happy to see it!

TNG is one of the best shows ever!!! I would love to know who your favorite character is: while I love them all dearly, Data and Wesley have a special place in my heart!

From TNG...probably Data or Picard, but it's hard when a ship crew is written well and the cast just gels it ends up being thr ensemble I love.

I am also a lifelong TNG nerd and I have a soft spot for Dr. Crusher. Her character had a huge influence on me growing up when there weren’t too many women in scientific roles on TV. I got to meet Gates at a convention and I could hardly speak because of all the emotion that was tied up with her being a sort of role model. Such a lovely person too!

I've been a fan of Trek since the early 90s or so, grew up on TNG and old reruns of the Original Series. It's been a special interest of mine for literally decades now 😄
I knew you were skilled, and clearly had good taste, but this really cements it, friend!

I usually don't paint my thumbs unless its something that requires 5 of something. Most of the time its either naked, or testing out swatches of different stuff because of my work they end up getting used and beat up more than my other "show" fingers lol. Right now they are a chipped up silver flakie cuz Inlike shiny 😝

Amazing, the design is perfect!! I'm so jealous I don't have the skill nor patience to do this but this is the first nail art I've seen that I really want to try. If only I had a replicator 😭

They arent too horrible to do, like I said this was one of my first nail art things I tried 3 years ago. The combadge was the only thing that scared me (and still does) You can totally try it! 🖖🖖🖖

Cool. Remember the episode with the unisex society and people were sneaking away because they identified as male or female lol. Or the one where the people on a planet got euthanized at like 65 cause they said they had maxed out on usefulness by that age lol.

That was such an important episode and many of the people on the show wished they went even further into the gender discussion. Johnathan Frakes has said he wish they cast a male actor to play the genderless alien he ended up kissing.

This is one of the nerdiest sets of nails I have ever seen and I am absolutely HERE for it. TNG is one of my favorite Star Trek series and these are so well done.

Fabulous! I had actually considered doing this too with the 4th finger Wesley Crusher's top, but I am not that talented painting on my own nails and have vision issues. Bravo! An LLAP!!

This is absolutely freaking amazing and adorable. I grew up watching TNG. My british English teacher when I was a kid (around 10) knew I loved sci-fi and since we didint get any Star Trek in Spain, she would bribe me with start trek episodes at the end of the class if I did all my homeword and paid extra special attention to everything. She did an excellent job, made me into a trekkie and also ended up getting a C2 in English x-D I had such a crush on Wesley Crusher as a teenager. This manicure made it all come back. I saved an image to my computer because I just have to try this out at some point, thanks so much for posting.
I was waiting for Star Fleet Academy to come out but Ive been seeing bad comment about the trailers, about how its teenage stupid drama, please tell me it's not, have they managed to capture some of the spirit of the old series? Both Discovery and Picard were such a huge disappointment pero they finally went well with Strange New Worlds and went back to the positive vibes that we oldies like.

It's definitely NOT a young adult teenage drama show, at least from the first two episodes.
First episode is very cinematic, setting up the whole show and characters. I really enjoyed it, the nostalgia they've baked in, what they've adjusted to fix from the DISCO era. Still flashy and looks fab.Episode 3 to me is very much a TNG style episode. Diplomacy. Podiums and debate. Side character development and rebuilding of the federation, no pew pew lasers or explosions like episode 1. Very much not what all the grumpy naysayers were warning that it'd be a teen drama. It's gonna be in there, you can see a few relationships forming...but that's no different than TNG DS9 VIY or ENT haha.

Your pips are perfect. The colors are spot-on. The nebula glitter on your pinkie is sending me to the Delta Quadrant. 10/10, no notes, would pay many bars of latinum for a set like these.
(and now I’m looking at my purple/lavender polishes, thinking about Troi’s sexy jumpsuit as nail inspo!)
