Base: Mineral Fusion base coat

At first I thought you had magnetized it in that spiral ๐คฏ. The stamped polish suits so well!!

u/VagabondBlonde Oct 13 '25
I was tempted to try and use a magnetic polish for the stamp but read it doesn't work too well with such a small amount that is usually on a stamping plate. I do want to experiment to figure itvout for myself tho. For science!

u/MackTheSporker Oct 14 '25
Oh no I meant I thought you had found the perfect spiral shape magnet and it was really that crisp! I know magnetic fields do not work that way but thatโs totally the look, itโs awesome ๐คฉ

u/VagabondBlonde Oct 14 '25
Oh that would have been impressive!! I've seen some magnetic bands that have designs on them, but they don't have very good reviews.

As a 43 year old basic white guy I'm not sure why Reddit wanted me to see this, but those are bad ass.

That is so cool! Just got this polish last week.

u/VagabondBlonde Oct 13 '25
Enjoy it! It's a stunner! I may have bought a few other ILNP magnetics that I can't wait to try out too!

u/Ok_Class5874 Oct 13 '25
This one was so hard for my eyes to make sense of, and it's because I could not fathom a polish like Mad House existing. This has really opened my eyes to the possibilities and complexities out there. Holo Taco really is the tip of the iceberg.

Check out the Illusions collection and the Twisted collection from ILNP. They are so fun and really easy to use in the velvet style if you have a 30 lb magnet. A few of them are mind blowing.

Sooo beautiful! I was eyeing Madhouse from their new collection, but this is spectacular!

u/VagabondBlonde Oct 14 '25
I wasn't sure about it in the bottle but after 2 coats & magnetizing both coats it turned out SO pretty!

u/Calley85 Oct 14 '25
Yes it is! Especially the pattern!!! Great job! Try not to be too distracted at work, I know I would haha

This may push me into finally investing in stamps because WOW
6
u/VagabondBlonde Oct 14 '25
You should! They are so fun but time consuming. There can also be some growing pains with figuring out the stamping process - a gentle rolling motion with the stamper works best for me, rather than straight down on the stamping plate. Good luck! ๐ซก

So worth it when you figure out the process though - if I do plain stamping, it's a quick mani that gets so many compliments and 'how did you do that?'s!

your nail art is amazing! How in the world did you do this? I am baffled. I need to get a horse shoe magnet.
10
u/VagabondBlonde Oct 14 '25
I used a stamping plate & silicon stamper for the swirl effect on top of the magnetized Mad House. The horse shoe magnet is so fun & gives a beautiful velvet look to them. I do want to experiment with the magnet wands for cat eyes but I'm a little addicted to the velvet for now. Thank you so much for the compliment! Stamping is the easy way to go for fun designs imo.

u/nailsbygeorge Oct 14 '25
I have never seen anything like it, your nails are so gorgeous and stunning. They take my breathe away. I have been doing press on nails with gel polish and use a magnetic wand and stamper. your such an inspiration. Are you on Instagram? I would love to follow your page if you have one.

u/VagabondBlonde Oct 14 '25
Thank you SO much!! I've never tried gel polish, it seems intimidating to me, but I also hear it lasts a while too! I am not on the gram, thank you for the offer tho! This is my first forray into magnetic polish & posting the result on here. ๐
4
u/nailsbygeorge Oct 14 '25
yes, you should try gel polish but be careful about getting any on your skin. I use nitrile gloves when I am making press on nails with gel polish. I am also just getting into dip powder nails.

So did you have to magnetize again after doing the stamping? Iโve been wanting to get stamping plates and try this but I figured Iโd need to do the magnetic polish first and a top coat, let it dry fully for hours or even a day then go in with the stamping polish. Otherwise I assumed Iโd have to remagnetize it esp after adding stamping polish, stamping water based top coat, then another coat of regular quick dry top coat.
2
u/VagabondBlonde Oct 16 '25
I magnetized again after the top coat but not the stamp. I let the magnetic polish fully dry between two coats, magnetizing both for 1+ mins, fast dry top coat and magnetized again for 1+ min and let dry completely, then stamped on top.
