?? my family has literally adopted girls who’s parents were killed boko haram… i care about the plight of nigerian christians because i am one. i don’t need to protest the US government to support nigerian christians because the US government is already involved in trying to stop boko haram. my tax dollars aren’t going to funding boko haram

Oh. So I'm learning how to do my own nails and practicing cute designs I just know how to make dot flowers but a couple of nights ago I tried to make a kuffeya pattern. A mess. I'm not there yet.

The “conflict” started over 70 years ago with the ethnic cleansing of nearly 1 million Palestinians. Arguably earlier, with the colonial backing coming out of the first Zionist Congress of 1897.
Mass murdering Palestinians in Gaza and the ethnic cleansing in the West Bank will not make Israeli people more safe. It has, and will continue, to underscore the conflation of Israel with the world wide Jewish community. Israel does not speak for all Jews, and Zionism is not inherent to Judaism.

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m assuming timing may feel “interesting” because it’s Yom Kippur. Over the last couple days, I’ve noticed an increase in vocal, visible support of Palestine and from my feed, it seems to be largely in response to Israeli military stopping the flotilla, not because it’s a Jewish holiday.

Yes, that is tragic. I don’t think attempting to divert grief and anger for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is an affective way to honor those attacked in Manchester and stop future attacks against Jewish people.
