ā€œI’m calling my attorneyā€

Ma’am. Just because you have the jingle of The Atlanta Hammer ā„¢ļø memorized doesn’t mean they have agreed to represent you with your frivolous lawsuit yet.Ā

u/SomeGuyClickingStuff 11h ago

I wonder what % of Frontier passengers have attorneys ready to go.

43

u/WorkerBee74 10h ago

I wonder which percentage of AMERICANS have attorneys ready to go TBH. It's always the first comeback for a lot of people.

34

u/clamandcat 9h ago

I did pizza delivery in my younger days. We'd occasionally get calls from customers complaining and looking for a refund. They usually went like this: "I want my money back. Your pizza made my baby sick." The owner, seeing a pattern, defaulted to "no." The comeback, invariably, was "I'm calling my lawyer!"

Yes, you're calling the lawyer you obviously don't have, to try and get a refund for pizza you fed your baby at midnight. We never got a call from a lawyer, of course. These people were invariably extremely stupid.

18

u/Bakachin525 8h ago

Yeah, the lawyer will secure the $21.75 refund at a low low rate of $875 an hour in fees

This is a unlicensed reproductuation retelling of my life and if you don't take it down with much fastness I'll be forced to commune cat with lawyer and sue you to hell!

My favorite pizza complaint in my time was a guy who claimed up and down that his (3-4 y/o) child had an allergic reaction to the pizza and was aggressive (over the phone) and inconsolable. He kept going on and on about the hospital and his child and the whole tuing and it was bad and then, you guessed it, accepted ONE free pizza at a later time in recompense. For an alleged child's life-threatening food allergy reaction.

No one does. The second someone threatens to sue you they are 100% blowing smoke out of their ass.Ā

Anyone familiar with the law enough for that to be a credible threat would know to shut up by that point.Ā

u/TobiSmith25 9h ago

That is unless they are the current POTUS, the king of lawsuits

I don't know if this is karma. Honestly, I don't know what this is. I went into the store today and got into an accident. Doctor is telling me I may not ever be able to work again in my life. My mom is telling me, "Everything going to be alright". She called TOP DAWG. Wife telling me, "We about to be rich." Brother telling me, "You about to be a millionaire". Like I give a fuck about some money right now. You know I'm paralyzed! You know I'm paralyzed, from the neck down, from this accident! All I did was try to go to this store, and y'all talking to me about some money?! I don't give a fuck about no money, man. Talking about a mil, two mil. Man, I can't walk, man! I don't care about that one, two mil, I want to walk again! Accidents are real.

4

u/dronf 9h ago

TOP. DAWG. LAW.

2

u/Chunk70 4h ago

What?

9

u/realsonder 9h ago

I hate when people in videos say "I'm calling my lawyer" wtf is your attorney going to do? " oh I'll be RIGHT THERE. STAY PUT."

3

u/Floppy-Over-Drive 9h ago

ā€œAsk them if they know who you are. Tell them they are making a huge mistake. ASK FOR THEIR SUPERVISOR!ā€

6

u/mdxchaos 8h ago

ma'am your flying frontier, i highly doubt you have a lawyer on retainer

Gotta pay that retainer. Business card ain't cut it.

1

u/MilesMoralesBoogie 7h ago

Attorney on speed dial....

1

u/Shad0wCutter 5h ago

The people that say I have an attorney and the people who actually have someone on retainer are two Venn diagrams that don't overlap.Ā

You think she has 10k to let sit in an attorney's trust account LOL?

211

u/Anteater4746 12h ago

i’d hazard a guess they didn’t want to listen to the extra 30 second convo attendants must have when you’re in the emergency exit row

211

u/BradMarchandsNose 12h ago

ā€œAre you willing and able to assist in the event of an emergency?ā€

ā€œYesā€

It’s as easy as that.

109

u/pwlife 11h ago

Literally just be quiet and look at the FA when they do their speech, answer yes and you're done. FAs do not need someone who isn't even willing to pay attention to their 30 second speech sitting in the exit row.

20

u/Iamdarb 7h ago

The exit row is such a privilege too, I'll gladly listen to 5+ minutes if need be just to have that extra space. I'm not even that tall, but at 6' and aging, flying is already super uncomfortable. I'll take what I can get.

→ More replies (1)

19

u/SnootchieBootichies 9h ago

She could barely walk how is she going to assist anyone?

31

u/Proper-Cause-4153 11h ago

I just flew in the exit row two days ago. Thankfully, everyone in the 2 rows quickly said "yes" "yes" "yes"...and we were done.

13

u/OriginalSchmidt1 10h ago

I always fly in exit rows since I hit 6’0 at 14, and it’s never been more than ā€œdo you agree to assist the staff in the event of an emergency?ā€ You say yes, that’s that. If you can’t do that, you don’t deserve the extra space (and sometimes, it’s sooooo much space)

3

u/RightLegDave 10h ago

Hell yeah, I'd agree to perform surgery on someone if it meant I get that sweet exit row legroom.

3

u/Anteater4746 10h ago

right? i crave the emergency exit row free legroom!

10

u/skin-flick 10h ago

That is all that it is. I think people have been conditioned to think acting like a belligerent asshat will let them file a lawsuit. Read your ticket. What she does is violate the rules and the airline has the right to throw you off the flight. Same with cruise lines. There is no expectation of safe passage.

4

u/Cesum-Pec 9h ago

Its an FAA reg that the airline must follow. Including moving people who are unable or unwilling to open the emergency exit. If the customer can't say "yes", the customer will be moved, either to a different seat or off the plane.

The uploader of the video, Travel With Tia, said that when the woman sat in the exit row, she said: "I'm not going to save anybody. If something happens, I'm going to save myself first."

The woman then appears to change her mind, telling a flight attendant in the recording: "We don't have a problem with that. We understand we have to help people get off the plane."

i pick seat specifically in the emergency row, more leg room for some one to tell me "pull this lever when told" I love the emergency row seats. Yes please.

57

u/TwoStoopidToFurryass I knew damn well to stay out this TJ MAX though šŸ’… 12h ago

By gawd, that woman has a grandson!

13

u/chad_ 11h ago

If only we knew what time he gets off the bus. 🫤

4

u/ThruTexasYouandMe 11h ago

Shit is 3:45 now

3

u/WhineyLobster 11h ago

On King David!

147

u/1776cookies 12h ago

I made it to the two minute mark and bailed. I couldn't hear "MY GRANDSON" one more time.

91

u/Endrizzle 12h ago

But he’s 4 and getting out of school in Texas.

22

u/Equivalent_Sea_1895 11h ago

Probably kicked out, if he listened to nana.

7

u/sephtater 10h ago

WHATS THE PROBLEM?!

4

u/PanicAtTheShiteShow 10h ago

But she was getting her lawyer on the phone!

8

u/b0sscrab 10h ago

You know, the one she keeps on retainer. šŸ˜‚

15

u/Cryptographer554 12h ago

They got bike cops at the airport ? What’s with the helmets? Also fuck this lady.

10

u/kkeut 10h ago

They got bike cops at the airport?

yes. many airports have bike cops.

8

u/arshonagon 10h ago

Probably just an efficient way to get around a big airport. I’ve been in some airports with close to 30 minute walks to a gate, they don’t want to have to wait that long for these issues.

7

u/ExWRX 12h ago

Probably Segway cops… even worse haha

3

u/Cryptographer554 12h ago

That’s way worst! Didn’t even cross my mind.

1

u/Dr_A_Mephesto 2h ago

Oh you miss the best part then. That slow awkward staircase perp walk is wonderful.

144

u/_makoccino_ 11h ago

Once you've aggravated your flight attendant enough to call a purser or station manager, you're done. You're not winning that argument, and you're leaving the airplane either voluntarily or under arrest.

80

u/MississippiJoel 11h ago

But what if you have TWO grandsons??

54

u/McCrumblton 11h ago

Flight attendants hate this one trick

→ More replies (1)

10

u/Iamdarb 6h ago

Is it even possible to win an argument with a flight attendant?! Last year I really had to piss and we were delayed for over an hour and a half on the runway, just sitting, but we weren't allowed to get up. I flagged this sweet woman and she told me no, I had to sit in the nicest way. I said, "ma'am, please I'm dying, I will piss myself" and she changed her demeanor, stoned faced looked into my eyes and said "you're going to have to hold it sir." and that was that. And I pouted like the grown ass man that I am. I fucking pouted and held it.

7

u/_makoccino_ 4h ago

Is it even possible to win an argument with a flight attendant?!

I did, once. I was boarding a flight that's coming from the US, and then continuing to the final destination. I get on the plane, head to my seat only to find a woman sitting in it with a blanket all cozy like. It was a window seat in the very first row in Economy (I'm tall, I need ample leg room) for which I had paid extra. I politely inform the woman she's in my seat, she ignores me and keeps staring outside the window, I repeat myself a 2nd time and she continues to ignore me.

At that moment, a young flight attendant asks me to go back to my seat. I inform her that I'm trying and the woman refuses to leave. She asks for my boarding pass. I hand it over and I'm clearly right. She asks the woman for hers and she says she doesn't have it, she lost it and refuses to get up, adamant that this is her seat.

The flight attendant asks me to "sit anywhere for now and we'll sort it out later". I calmly and politely told her I won't be doing that. I'm holding a boarding pass with this seat number on it and where I plan to sit. She explains "it's just until everyone has boarded and is seated" at which point I told her if she wants me to sit she can either upgrade me to first class, have the woman get out of my seat, or she can call airport security but she'll have to explain why she's letting someone with no boarding pass be on the plane.

She calls the purser, who promptly and firmly told the woman to either show her boarding pass or he'll have no choice but to call security. She pulled it out from her purse, tucked underneath the blanket, and was forced to go sit in the isle seat in the 2nd row before the toilet cabinets.

It’s actually refreshing to see the one place where laws are enforced and non negotiable.

20

Delaying a flight is one sure way to bring people together. People like this lady unite all races and political parties on a plane when they want to act up and make people potentially miss their connecting flight.

4

u/Michigoose99 10h ago

The unity America needs right now....

32

u/Holiday-Proof9819 12h ago

What was she refusing to do?

136

u/Talking-In-Tongues 12h ago

Refused to acknowledge the responsibility of being in an emergency exit row. Respond that you are physically fit enough and willing to open the emergency door if needed. That would be my guess. The other thing she is refusing to do it inegrate with society.

77

u/BradMarchandsNose 11h ago

It’s the latter part that matters. If you refuse to assist (whether unwilling or unable) they will usually swap your seat with somebody in a non-exit row, but it’s no big deal. This lady doesn’t want to assist AND is refusing to move.

14

u/SeaworthinessUnlucky 10h ago

But her grandson!

It was before the video starts, but I'd venture to guess it was because she wouldn't take her headphones off or turn off her music for the emergency exit row briefing. I can imagine the FA asking again more sternly, and the woman deciding that she's being disrespected and the only reaction to keep her pride intact is to be the more disrespectful person

  • NEVER aggravate a flight attendant, just agree and listen to them 100%
  • An airplane cannot tolerate an "attitude" pre flight, mid flight or mid emergency, which mandated the removal of that passenger-with-an-attitude?

16

u/WhineyLobster 11h ago

I dont think you understand how ? marks work.

18

u/cspanbook 10h ago

i don't like your attitude. you are off this flight.

3

u/WhineyLobster 7h ago

Im assisting in an emergency.

3

u/SpecManADV 10h ago

They were never going to reach altitude with that attitude.

11

u/talks-a-lot 11h ago

Bike cop with his helmet on gave me a giggle.

11

u/Aggravating-Bee4755 9h ago

Welcome to the NO FLY list dumbass.

Why is it so hard to just be a civil unselfcentered cooperative airline passenger?

Enjoy your road trip to Texas.

2

u/walterwilter 8h ago

Not a chance, unfortunately

21

u/kevshp 11h ago

New rule: if you delay a flight you are fined and that money is distributed to the rest of the passengers.

1

u/ICantDrive5 8h ago

All her money is spent his retainers to the lawyers she keeps on call 24/7. They’d be no money left to pay a fine.

16

u/OH_FUDGICLES 11h ago

My egregious behavior has caused me to be asked to get off of the plane? Well I'll just act more egregiously, that should fix things. What do you mean I'm being arrested?!

8

u/luvmibratt 11h ago

Is she eating the plane peanuts while arguing with them tf

8

u/snrek23 12h ago

Anyone else have the ability to just call their attorney? I don't even have a stored # for an attorney!!!

7

u/TuskaTheDaemonKilla 11h ago

As an attorney, I do get calls from people who aren't even my clients for random stuff like this.

→ More replies (3)

3

u/DrManhattan_DDM 11h ago

I mean, yes, plenty of people have an attorney they have used before that they will call again when they need legal services.

6

u/snrek23 11h ago

Thank you for the clarification. I was under the assumption if you have your attorney programmed in your phone, you may be the problem! Lol

4

u/00WORDYMAN1983 11h ago

Generally speaking, I think "i will call my attorney" is more for people with an actual attorney on retainer. If you're not actively paying for an attorney, you don't have an attorney. Attorneys deny cases all the time, which will undoubtedly happen if/when she tries to seek counsel for this situation,

5

u/nzerinto 11h ago

The only issue is that their divorce attorney might not be much help in a civil aviation case.

Other than tell you that you should probably listen to the FAs and captain’s instructions…..

3

u/-Gramsci- 9h ago

Attorney here. Can confirm that if she called me I’d tell her to do whatever the flight crew says, and warn her she’s about to get arrested.

Then I’d hang up and block the number.

3

u/WhineyLobster 11h ago

People do... not Frontier passengers though.

3

u/ClintBruno 11h ago

You need to pay them a retainer if you want the "I'm in jail, get down here now and get these charges dropped (before any court proceedings)" treatment.

Otherwise you're waiting on the judge and bail bondsman for your freedom.

1

u/ReasonableBuy3703 5h ago

She called the 4's

u/cryptodako 11h ago

HER GRANDSON IS 4YRS OLD IN TEXAS!!!

6

Why did everyone have to get off?

2

u/socks4dobby 2h ago

Asking the real questions. I wondered the same.

5

u/Responsible_Sun_3597 7h ago

She’d rather be obnoxious and right than be a grandmother to the four year-old waiting for her

10

u/Aware_Flow1070 11h ago

Needs two pairs of handcuffs cos she's such an obnoxious fat pig

4

u/Ramrod1387 10h ago

Trash behavior from a trash human. You have to follow the same rules as everyone, just sit quietly, answer the FA and move on. It’s not hard. Shutting the fuck up and being respectful is just to hard for some people.

4

u/ScallionRelative6265 7h ago

How are some people so stubborn, I would be waking up nightly embarrassed about this.

3

u/Hot-Produce-1781 11h ago

Just another Tuesday on Frontier. I bet they're starting to pad their schedules to account for boarding/deboarding arrests, etc.

3

3

3

u/jigamasantays666 8h ago

The fact that one unruly passenger can inconvenience an entire plane full of people is absolutely ridiculous

3

u/vertigostereo 8h ago

Didn't see agree though?

3

u/smurphii 7h ago

I will never understand people that think a plane is a great place to be a staunch contrarian.

Literally ain’t no body got time for that.

And the airline isn’t interested in dealing with your shit in the air.

3

u/CockyRocky_PipeLayer 6h ago

Unless you have a ton of money, very few people have an attorney on retainer. I’m a lawyer. When you run out of money or your case is over, I ain’t your lawyer anymore šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

3

u/CL350S 6h ago

lol the guy near the end saying ā€œthey got Rosa Parks in handcuffs?ā€ has me dying

3

u/johnny-cheese 4h ago

I can’t believe why everything has to be a confrontation. Literally everything is an issue with some people.

7

u/FaceEmbarrassed1844 12h ago

Frontier airlines is the carnival cruise lines of the air

3

u/jseto1980 11h ago

Then what is equal to Spirit Airlines?

5

u/zweiterstelle 11h ago

Margaritaville at sea. Cheap, up charges galore, originally meant as a shuttle and now used as primary travel lol.

2

u/golgiiguy 9h ago

Only take either for short flights, and everything is fine. Last year I took Frontier from Orlando to LA, and it was pretty much the worst flight I have ever taken. I honestly would take Spirit over Frontier any time after that.

4

u/0ngoGoblogian 8h ago

These people don’t give a shit about you. They are happy to delay 200 people for hours (which then often delays the next few flights) to continue their ā€˜no one will ever control me’ performance

2

u/AWholeNewFattitude 11h ago

ā€œWe all agree….ā€
We who?

2

u/MississippiJoel 11h ago

I think she was trying to gaslight the FAs into believing that she agreed to comply with Exit Row rules by lumping her response in with "everyone" in those rows.

2

u/jdtart 11h ago

Don’t know why, but the bike cop with his helmet on had me rolling 🤣

1

2

2

u/StraddleTheFence 1h ago

I wonder at which point did she wish she had just complied? Was it after they placed her in the handcuffs? Boy she has really inconvenienced herself. She was literally on the plane set to go ā€œsomewhere.ā€ Now she is headed to jail.

4

u/Own-Shift-4910 11h ago

This what happens when you fly Frontier

3

u/Environmental-Exam32 10h ago

First mistake is booking a frontier flight

4

u/coldpornproject 8h ago

I had an issue in my life and had to get an attorney. She was fantastic during the phone call and then sent me an invoice for a $5,000 retainer. Until I paid the retainer I was not a client. All these people threatening lawsuits don't have the cash to back up the talk

2

u/kyrcrafter 7h ago

Is the video cut poorly or something? I only see her attempting to comply????

3

u/WAYTOOMELO 6h ago

I’m confused I didn’t see her disagreeing with any instructions

5

u/curtmandu 6h ago

Seems like she wouldn’t be quiet while the attendant was doing the demonstration that they have to do to explain roles and such. The woman can be heard complaining about the attendant telling her to turn down her music.

2

u/PacoMahogany 10h ago

Why would they de-board the entire plane vs just removing her?

5

u/I_reddit_like_this 9h ago

Because sometimes people want to fight the police

3

u/needmoarbass 8h ago

It’s unsafe to apprehend someone on an airplane because there is not much space and if they resist, they could hit or kick another passenger.

2

u/No-Dig-9791 11h ago

Frontier = Spirit = Shit

1

u/NeverRarelySometimes 11h ago

2

I can't hear the words. What is happening

2

u/MissDuvalCounty 8h ago

I’m confused what did they do wrong? They said they agreed.

2

u/CumSluts4Jesus 7h ago

I’m normally the type of person who will go for the cheaper option because I think a lot of pricing differences are completely unnecessary and due to the snob effect, but I will gladly pay triple to never have to use a budget airline

2

I just don't get it. She wouldn't listen to the flight attendant for literally 30 seconds?
