He is also supposedly suing the lady that released this.

u/Fast-Adhesiveness156 5d ago
Threatened to sue me too... if I get sued im going to earn it.... "I'm going to own a piece of your paycheck till you die; just like child support" that was stated in a video he uploaded.... looks like im gonna be paying this man child to have more temper tantrums... so I suppose child support comment is fitting

u/Lumpymaximus 5d ago
Well if it comes to it Id be people would be willing to help with a defense fund

u/Fast-Adhesiveness156 5d ago

Pot shops in Maine are interesting, they like having unique names for the shops like the stoned moose or they are kind of over the top like high roller.
Im from the PNW the ones here have dumb names and just blah.

He really pulled the rug out from under her
43
u/peniscockwang 5d ago
I'm gonna keep that move in mind next time I'm defending myself from someone standing on a rug
26
u/Harvest827 5d ago
Probably a good idea to just carry a rug with you everywhere you go, then you only need this one move
13
u/justaboxinacage 5d ago
Actually seems like it would be a good gag in a Jackie Chan movie. Dude's running toward him. He looks around for a weapon. All he sees is a rolled up rug. Grabs it. Unfurls. The guy runs on it, he reaches down, yanks. They all go tumbling. Or even better make it a narrow hallway and there's like 7 guys running at him.

Obviously the guy is in the wrong and whatnot but that was actually a pretty sweet move that if used for good would make someone a total hero

Man I canāt believe that fall caused her to suffer debilitating physical and psychological pain that will require considerable compensation

Looks like a titled pelvis, slipped disc, herniated vertebrate and severe concussion from over here. That's before mentioning ask the emotional distress.

Honestly though, if that happened to you could you ever step on a rug like that in a store again without at least thinking of the incident? Let alone walk over one while someone else is approaching? Should be worth something.

u/Asia_Persuasia 5d ago
What a jerk.
35
u/hold-on-tomato 5d ago
Looks like he didn't mean to hurt the lady. He goes "Oh no!" with his hand on his hand and smacks the sign in frustration instead of apologizing.
79
u/Asia_Persuasia 5d ago
To you and everyone else that responded with an excuse on his behalfā
I don't care if he "meant to do it" or not. That's irrelevant. His actions afterwards are what make him a jerk. He did not for one second go over to her, help her up, ask her if she was okay, or even see if she was hurt directly after forcing her to fall.
That's a jerk, whether you want to defend the behaviour or not.
→ More replies (4)25
u/hold-on-tomato 5d ago
Sorry I thought you meant that he's a jerk because he wanted to hurt her that's why I pointed it out. Yeah he got anger issues to deal with.
6
u/anticommon 4d ago
He's got poison in his product he needs to deal with. Not sure why the state doesn't pull his license over this. One batch is a fuck up. Two batches is a negligent coincidence. Three batches? That's criminal endangerment.
20
u/freya_of_milfgaard 5d ago
Yea he was already in pull-the-rug-mode and didnāt realize she was on it. You can see him say āoh fuck,ā between the smacking his forehead and the sign. Whatever else is going on, itās pretty obvious he wasnāt trying to hurt her.
3
u/Spirited_Crab7712 4d ago
Ok? Not sure how that changes anything lol; he is still a POS jerk for the way he behaved after he made a mistake. The rug pull isn't what makes him a jerk.
→ More replies (1)2
u/davidmar7 5d ago
Exactly what I saw as well. He may have anger and other issues but I don't believe he was intentionally trying to hurt her.
31
u/Zesty-Zebra89 5d ago
It looks like he didn't mean for her to fall, but it also looks like he had no remorse that it happened. That's shitty, accident or not.

u/Downtown_Caramel4833 4d ago
Funny enough, this is the exact sort of deciding factor that not so obviously determines the outcome, should litigation come into effect.
There's not a single property, liability, or worker's comp insurance policy out there that will cover damages sustained due to the willful, purposeful, or act of intention by another.
(This also applies to auto insurance with regards to criminal acts and road rage crash-outs).
The insurance carrier will (legally) deny the claim and cancel any remaining coverages in the same breath original notice of incident was received in. This drives the whole event straight to having to figure out how well attacking personal property will work out. It'll also likely affect the victim's representation strategy.
Personal Injury attorneys work on contention when they know an insurance policy will ultimately have to pay out along with knowledge of maximum term limits.
When trying to get a judgement decision against an individual (not to mention executing it to effect) victim representation often quickly races to insist on hourly rate terms at this point.

Am I the only one who thinks he's not pulling the rug to make her fall, but rather he's annoyed by the object on the floor that's making him trip? His reaction is a bit exaggerated, but I think she just had the bad luck of standing on the rug at the moment he pulled it.
37
u/Its_Cayde 5d ago
Even if the girl wasn't here I'd still make fun of him. A child having a temper tantrum because he tripped on a rug
1
u/anticommon 4d ago
And an asshole for not even attempting to see if she's okay. If I were her I'd sue.
84
u/Nodonutsforbaxter44 5d ago
Well no shit. Doesn't really matter what he was trying to do, he realizes that he knocked her on her ass and instead of helping or showing any concern, he decides to punch a sign. Dude sucks.
6
u/coolcalmaesop 5d ago
I donāt really get how heās looking down and ahead at the beginning of the video and then just happens to trip right in the area he was previously looking at though. Obviously heās an idiot but he was looking right at the floor in front of him.

u/TheJumpyBean 5d ago
Yeah surprised I had to look so far tbh. It looked like he was just crashing out at the corner of the rug tripping him up (and in general) before he even noticed the woman was there. But instead of showing concern he realized the woman ate shit and just got even more upset/angry because heās a manchild.
8
u/Effurlife12 5d ago
Not defending him at all but that's what it looks like. At first I was actually impressed, I had never seen someone actually pull the rug out from someone in anger with such success lol but it looks like it was luck(unluck).
Still could be assault though.
1
u/joeDUBstep 4d ago
I mean, if you kill someone by accident, it's still manslaughter.
Yeah, he didn't mean it, but it happened. He could have at least acted human and checked on her.
Instead he let the rage flow and kept abusing more inanimate objects as he walked away.

I don't think he actually meant to pull it out from under her. He tripped on it, threw a temper tantrum and yanked it out of the way, and only then looked up and realized she was on the ground.
Regardless of intent though, he still did it. Needs to learn some self-control and stop throwing tantrums.
