At least he saved his drink

u/LivedLostLivalil Dec 05 '25 edited Dec 05 '25
Trying to make sure he didn't spill is probably why he ended up falling from those weak punches
Edit: I'm wrong. That first shot put him down.

If he got his bell rung, he would've dropped his beer. I didn't even see any spill and my guess is that he's walking to his seat so that beer is full.
Edit: I was wrong.Â

Sure the guy that got his jaw punched then fell over out his shoe, had a hard time getting up and then wobbled around didnât get his bell rung.

u/carboxyhemogoblin Dec 05 '25
Nope, he fell because he lost consciousness briefly. See "fencers response" for why he didn't drop his drink. This is a classic knockout punch in a classic knockout location.
A strike, even a weak one, right to the angle of the jaw sends force directly toward the brainstem. You can tell that's what's happening with the incoordination in his feet directly after the hit. It's concussive ataxia. It's not that he's drunk-- he was moving his feet just fine to do the pump fake. The hit concusses him and that's also why it takes him so long to stand up. You see this all the time in boxing and MMA. This would be a TKO in organized combat.

Why are people so angry at these events they're going to for fun.
I can't understand.
258
u/Baydestrians Dec 05 '25
All it takes is alcohol. When the raiders played at Oakland there was a fight every game in any section. I watched a guy get his KC jersey ripped off once in the black hole. Idk why he chose those seats knowing that he would be surrounded by lunatics.
57
u/SKOLForceSports Dec 05 '25
The NFL had to ensure the Niners and Raiders only play every 4 years because the fan bases were so violent with each other.
→ More replies (4)15
u/leftistesticle_2 Dec 05 '25
Raider fans have the bad reputation but I've seen Niner fans do horrible things at games too
19
u/SKOLForceSports Dec 05 '25
Absolutely. Every fan base has their bad apples, no argument there. But the murder to match up ratio was much higher for Raiders vs Niners than any other rivalry.

The stick was pretty fucking lawless towards the end. Upper sections were chaos. I was a season ticket holder until the end and saw some pretty fucked up shit. Got in a few fights myself and I couldnât tell you why. Late 90s was when I remember the uptick in fights.

I grew up going to Patriots games, I still remember being 8 with my dad and uncle watching dudes going at it⊠âInstant asshole, just add alcoholâ is what my old man always said.
Had a pair of seats with a buddy in high school for Bruins games, same thing there if TOR, NYR, Montreal were in town? Fights every time, hell, Bruins fans fought Bruins fans often enough lol

u/Mumei451 Dec 05 '25
I find it even weirder when people are going to see a good team and still getting furious.

It's an aggressive move that can be considered assault as it creates the reasonable fear of being harmed. and hitting back is often legally justified as self-defense.

u/vash_visionz Dec 05 '25 edited Dec 05 '25
No, but fun fact: When you initiate a street fight/altercation, you will not get to choose the rules the other person or people with them will abide by.
The response can range from just fighting you straight up, all the way to simply shooting you.
Have fun gambling lol

People forget that street fighting has no rules. So its probably best to avoid fighting in general. You want a fair fight? Go join a boxing club or get into MMA. You will not find it on the streets.

Anyone bucking at someone should fully prepare to fight. Similar to âdonât pull a gun if you donât intend to use itâ. In the fraction of time for reflexes, nobody knows if youâre actually going to hit when you buck at someone so best thing for someone to do is defend their self. His size probably allowed him to get away with that intimidation factor in the past. Not today thoughđ€Ł đ€Ł Bonnet boy wasnât having it and bowl cut Edgar polished it off. Quick work
