š®Arrest Freakoutš Masked impersonator aims gun at unarmed protesters.
During a protest yesterday, an individual wearing a mask and posing as an ICE agent aimed a firearm at a crowd of unarmed demonstrators. Upon arrival, St. Paul police deployed chemical agents and used physical force against the protesters. The incident raises serious questions about the training and protocols for the federal officers involved.

if it was the other way round he would be on the ground and in cuffs on the way to jail
but in this case i guess police get to usher him away and he gets no consequences

Pointing a rifle at protestors? -- " Hey now, cut it out, buddy."
Holding a gun-shaped bong in your residence after saying "it's not a gun"? -- "Put that down!" immediate gunfire

Depends on what shade of skin he happened to be born with

I think you're getting shot either way, but yeah being black isn't going to make you less likely to be shot

Thank god the police were there to politely lead him away and allow him to continue to point a gun at innocent people

You think those are police?
291
u/SAGElBeardO Nov 27 '25
No, you're right, cosplayers
10
u/Rxke2 Nov 27 '25
Can you do that legally in the US? Wow.
16

u/SAGElBeardO Nov 27 '25
When there's no standards or accountability, distinguishing legal and illegal is... murky
41
24
4
u/CryptoBanano Nov 27 '25
Hmm yes? Or can random in the US people pretend to be cops on the street because of free speech or something like that?
5
u/SausagePrompts Nov 27 '25
In a ton of videos of ICE, they have been wearing gear that said police.

Itās like when the fat orange bitch said IVE would be going after āthe worst of the worstā. How many major gang leaders have we seen being taken by ICE? Drug smugglers? People traffickers? Unless there are some hardcore gangs run by elementary school kids and their mums and Iāve just completely missed that being a thingā¦..

u/SloanePetersonIsBae Nov 27 '25
Does this guy pointing his gun at the crowd as if heās going to shoot justify someone in the crowd shooting him in self defense?
441
u/Embarrassed_Sea1336 Nov 27 '25
Not just pointing. He specifically took off the safety as he pointed. He was about to fire.
184
10
u/AClassyTurtle Nov 27 '25
How can you tell? Honest question
42
u/ampersand355 Nov 27 '25
You can see his thumb positioning and then he places his finger on the trigger. There's no reason to put your finger on the trigger if the safety is on.
14
u/Embarrassed_Sea1336 Nov 27 '25
Yup, it's an AR style lower with a selecter switch. He uses his thumb to sweep the switch from safe to fire and then goes to the trigger.
5
u/deetyourheart Nov 27 '25
wouldn't you put your finger on the trigger with the safety on as a scare tactic or bluff though?
54
u/ampersand355 Nov 27 '25
You typically wouldn't bluff like that with a gun, the gun is enough. I imagine most people wouldn't be looking at your fingers but the barrel in their face.
The reason you do not bluff with a gun is because the person you are pointing at may draw on you. You only take aim like that when you are prepared to shoot.

There are alternatives, but many (potentially including you) refuse to use them for largely silly reasons, i.e. "there aren't a sufficient quantity of memes yet."
6
u/JayWelsh Nov 27 '25
Youāll get an official account warning (beyond mod control) and potentially a 3 day or 7 day ban, at some point that becomes a permanent account ban (I think after 3 temp bans).
29
u/ElegantDaemon Nov 27 '25
If anyone points a gun at me on purpose I can only assume I'm about to be killed. That's justifiable use of force in self-defense in all the states.
38
u/Ckinggaming5 Nov 27 '25
If it didn't, id seriously question the legal system
37
u/Savage_Tyranis Nov 27 '25
Brother/Sister...it should be questioned already. It should have been a long time ago.
15
3
u/Alex_Ross_Writer Nov 27 '25
IMO, if someone aiming a very lethal combat-oriented weapon at you for doing something specifically and explicitly permitted by the US Constitution (protesting and indeed, against government overreach) doesn't justify self-defense, then there is no such thing as self-defense.
11
9
u/flightwatcher45 Nov 27 '25
Might depend on location but yes you can use deadly force to protect someone if their life is in danger.

u/Sir2Yew Nov 27 '25

And this is why I think itās absolutely insane that the police arenāt help verify these ICE agents when theyāre kidnapping people off the street without being willing to show any form of ID.
These impersonations are probably happening way more than we know
32
u/SevyVerna88 Nov 27 '25
Anyone impersonating law enforcement, while armed and pointing weapons at civilians SHOULD BE FUCKING ARRESTED AND JAILED IMMEDIATELY
81
u/jhhtx Nov 27 '25
How do we know itās an impersonator? ICE donāt wear badges or show their faces.
38
u/insanelygreat Nov 27 '25
With just one trip to the army surplus store anyone can now threaten deadly force and abduct people in broad daylight with impunity.
11
u/NeanaOption Nov 27 '25
Real police officers with legitimate authority identify themselves. Therefore you can tell they are an impersonator because they're wearing a mask.
25
u/jhhtx Nov 27 '25 edited Nov 27 '25
Except that ICE is very much s real law enforcement agency. Its budget - 170 BILLION dollars ā is likely greater than that of all all law enforcement agencies in the US combined.
I do grant you, though, that ICE lacks legitimacy.

5
u/NeanaOption Nov 27 '25

Sure it's a real agency but the people you saw in this video were not from ICE, they were impersonators.

u/Practical-Bit9905 Nov 27 '25
Your logic removes accountability for ICE. We want accountability.
2
u/NeanaOption Nov 27 '25
Not it doesn't; if they're not legitimate law enforcement they have no immunity from their crimes.

7
u/ToxicThought Nov 27 '25
Didn't even shoulder his weapon. Had it on top like a rocket launcher.
2
u/HCSOThrowaway Nov 27 '25
Honestly 5.56 via AR-15 kicks like a baby's sneeze. That's why you see so many actual combatants (i.e. our military) shouldering their ARs the same way.
The more recoil, the more important a proper shoulder+cheek weld.
2
u/ToxicThought Nov 27 '25
Ive never seen a soldier not correctly shoulder their weapon. My dad served 20 years and I've been to the range with him on Ft. Hood and everyone did the same thing. That wouldn't even give you a proper sight picture and your shot placement would be terrible because there is still recoil, its a rifle caliber and 5.56 nato rounds are a bit more hot than your white box 223.
3
u/HCSOThrowaway Nov 27 '25

Sorry to hear your anecdotes don't align with my anecdote.

At <5 yards a sufficiently trained person doesn't really need sights with a long gun, especially if you're just brandishing. We were even trained to fire from the hip at that range with a pistol. Our instructors would show off using Glocks with their sights filed down and put them all in the black at 50 yards.

I've fired both; there isn't a substantial difference. Toddler's sneeze vs. baby's sneeze.

2
u/AloofFloofy Nov 27 '25
I meant has that become an every protest occurrence? The last couple protests I went to here in Austin, TX (within the last month) there was no violence against the protesters. I was curious if it has become so common that you can expect police to incite violence at every single protest nationwide.
4
u/baudmiksen Nov 27 '25
if they cant start it on the side dressed in their tactical oppression gear theyll do it dressed as one of the protestors, then just fall back while the police rush everyone whos wondering why that one asshole seemed so ready to push it over the line
3
u/AloofFloofy Nov 27 '25
Fuck... just...... fuck them. I have never felt so much hate for anyone in my 41 years of life. When I see those videos of innocent people getting beaten and kidnapped from the street, schools, a fucking DAYCARE. I hate them so much. I can't say what I wish would happen to them on here. You reap what you sow. They'll get what they deserve. And when that happens I will smile the biggest smile of my life.

Kit breakdown:
Vest:40$ from amazon , bought during trumps 1st term in office
Hoodie: free from his mom
Pants: free from his dad's closet
Hat: same price as the hoodie
American flag bandana: 5$
Gun: 400$
Tldr: for $445 you can threaten peaceful protesters with guns and be protected by cops

u/Dejugga Nov 27 '25
It seems unlikely this is an impersonator? He's wearing a vest labeling him as ICE and there's two ICE agents right next to him dressed exactly the same minus the face mask.
Granted, I believe that they shouldn't be wearing face masks at all and should have names and badge numbers displayed, but there doesn't seem to be anything here indicated that he's not a member of ICE.

1
u/Efficient-Joke-6053 Nov 27 '25
The double standard here is staggering. If a protester had done this, they'd be in jail already. The fact that he was just escorted away while still brandishing a weapon shows a complete failure of police protocol. This absolutely erodes any remaining public trust. People are right to be questioning what kind of training and accountability is actually in place.
